Buyer Beware

Rude customer service. Orders take forever 2 arrive. If you try cancelling an order Mott's turns it into a nightmare where u end up contesting the charge the bankcard. Motts is not custumer friendly. Rather they r a smarmy bunch to stay away from.

Rude Customer Service

My first order was summer last year. I ordered 2 sets of Bespaq sofas. Apparently something was wrong with my Credit Card and they charged an additional fee. Then I only got 1 set delivered without any comment.

2. order was December. I asked them nicely to contact me if one or more pieces I had selected were not availible, before sending anything. 2 days later my order was cancelled because of my rude and inapropriate request. Definately not bothering with them again.

If Only I Could Give Zero Stars.

I’m not sure I understand how this company is in business. I ordered a Bespaq sofa and chair that was on the website. Soon after I received a confirmation email and then right after that, I received an email saying my payment didn’t go through and to re process the order. It was less than an hour after my order was “confirmed” but the item was mysteriously gone from the website so I tried to write an inquiry through their website. Well the website didn’t put my inquiry through so I sent an email instead. Well you’d have thought I committed a felony based on their response. I was accused of violating the sales contract by emailing them with questions on an order. The wording was horribly accusatory and rude. I was stunned when I read the email. Absolutely flabbergasted and stunned. Day over and I let it go.

Tonight, two weeks later, I received another rude and condescending email telling me I violated the sales contract by asking for a refund. WHAT? I never asked for a refund because my payment didn’t process!? It’s all just too bizarre and like nothing I’ve ever experienced as a customer.

I understand the current owner to the grandson of the founders. Those founders are spinning in their graves at how their reputation is being sullied and how the miniature community is being treated by this idiot.

I had the EXACT same experience and rude emails, verbatim! Not only that but one order that did go through delivered an item that I never ordered while missing others. You are NOT allowed to question shipping process. You can’t reach anyone EVER and when they do respond to email inquiries the response is as if you’ve committed a felony. What the heck is going on there? I suspect the owner sold to unsavory people in some back room in China. They’re virtuously anonymous, deliberately.

I placed an order and heard nothing back to confirm. I inquired and they kept sending me prescripted rude emails about how I didnt do the order correctly. When I tried to fix they just kept sending the same prescripted email.Not worth the trouble at all. Stay away.

Odd Customer Service, But Happy With Products!

I was really worried about my order when I got a weird google message attached to the confirmation of my order, saying that Google could not confirm the message was not spam. I emailed the company, and the reply said: The terms of the sales contract state that customers are not to call or email us to check the status of their order. They said to check your link to your order, but it really told me nothing about when my order would arrive. I do think it is odd that you cannot email to check on your order status. I got worried after reading some very unflattering reviews, but I am happy to say I did receive my items less than weeks after placing my order, but honestly it was worth the wait...the patio umbrella from German and the fancy ceramic brackets were both really awesome. I would order from them again.

Rude Customer Service.

I tried to order discontinued Bespaq screen. Contacted customer service before buying, asking if the item is in-stock.

I was answered thet "read the web page correctly" and that all items are in-stock if they are on the site.

to assist you we went to our free, public, self service web site on your behalf and read it for you. While reading the web site we did find this item number listed, so you can place an order for it at this time.

Thank you,"

After placing an order and filling in my credit card information, I received email that item was out of stock and" please look at the site for replacement items! "

I do not want replacement! I want them to cancel order and remove my card information!!!

Very rude customer serfice, do not buy from them!

Now they say that I violated the terms and conditions of their site. They refused to cancel order and I had to contact my bank and block my card to protect myself.

Avoid These People!

Made a small purchase, hey said my credit card was expired. They sent me an email that was scathing wi a phone number. I called for four days, finally someone answered and said they were sales and couldn't help. Now I am getting phone calls threatening to send me to collections for items they never shipped sayi I breached the cutback fact! What contract? Now they want me to send them a check (yes a personal check) or money order indpcludong all kinds of fees. I looked up reviews on this company and here are hundreds out there saying the same thing. Either way, stay away!

Please Do Not Purchase From This Retailer!!!

I placed an order with a pre-paid Visa, knowing that after shipping costs, I'd need to put the balance on a second card. Well the order went through with only one form of payment. Knowing I still owed about $2.50, I emailed the company to ask if there was a number I could call to remit payment. I got a scathing email scolding me for having the audacity to put my order number in the subject line. Shame on me! They then sent an automated email advising me that they reserved the right to send my account to a collection agency unless I called and made payment. Side note - this email included my order number in the subject line. Originally I'd have paid the difference and went on my way but I was so incensed by their rude, condescending emails I told them to cancel the order altogether. Then they replied that my order was non-cancelable (is that even a word?) and that they would be sending my account to collections. Still don't know what for - I received no products so what am I being charged for? I am being send to collections yet they never even billed me? This is insane! Now I have to worry that a creditor is going to come looking for money for products I never even took ownership of? I feel like I am in the Twilight Zone. Avoid at all costs. I've already filed complaints with the FTC and the CA Attorney General. Honestly this person has no business selling anything to consumers.

I just had the same experience. They to,d me my credit card was wrong spired then gave me a phone number that no one answered. When I finally got someone he said he was sales. Then I started getting phone calls threatening to send me to collections. Now they want me to send them a personal check or mo he order for the amount of the order (under $20) but with added fees and service charges. I think this guy is either some kind of special stupid or some kind of smart sham.

Mott's Sucks!!!

This is the worse shopping experience I ever had. I purchased a mini chandelier and a set of lights for a dollhouse. I tried to get an update on my order, but I got instead the worse customer service I ever had. Those people are absolutely crazy, bad mannered, rude, and try to scare customers using bad applied legal terminology. I read some of the positive reviews listed on this site and the writings look very similar. I would not be surprised this company is reviewing itself using different IP addresses.
