Think Before You Book

Just got home from this place. Please before you book think hard about what you want to spend your hard earned cash on. This place is nothing at all like the glossy photos shown on websites. It is dirty, run down and generally pretty bad

I took photos of guests waiting around the pool at 5.30 in the morning with their towels waiting for the pool boy to take off the padlocks on the sun loungers and then a mad rush to grab as many beds as they could yet there are notices all around saying not to save sun loungers, reported this to management and all I got was a shrug of the shoulders and not response.

Food was a disgrace, mostly cold, no taste so you did not know what you were eating. Pork reused one day roasted and next day in a curry type dish. No veg only the odd day when hard carrots and green beans were dished up, pasta, meatballs, generally not at all appealing. Ok if you like salad I suppose but most days the lettice was limp and soggy. Desserts were cold rice, cakes, tinned mixed fruit and ice cream. Melon was either hard or the next day soft and slushy.

Bar served up the weakest beer every known, I asked for a Malibu on the first and was served up something from a bottle on the bar labelled Malibu that tasted like vinegar. The next night I was given a Malibu from a bottle off the shelf and charged 4 euros for it and it was vile. Bar and entertainment area mostly filled with drunken holiday makers throwing the booze down their necks as soon as they could. Just before the bar closed at 11pm the queue at the bar went right out the door and people were taking as much as they could carry back to their tables.

Entertainment staff consisted of two young ladies, one of who was sarcastic. One night she said good night to everyone and then said good night to the angry lady at the back because this lady had asked why they had not let people sing who had put their name down on her list, found out the next day she had torn some of the list up.

Entertainment bought in from ouside consisted of two guys with owls, a magic show (which was quite good) and a guy with a huge snake. Christmas night was a joke every thing shut down at 11 pm. Mind you New Years Eve was good because some of the guests made it good.

I do not usually put reviews on about holidays but this one really was the pits, the place is needs a complete refurbishment, new entertainment staff, rules that are respected, apartment need refurbishment also, very very tired, towels could be replaced with new as very tatty.

So please do not take any notice of the glossy photos showing a fantastic pool and surroudings, tatty stage with curtains that needed ripping down. Dining room was not the best, soft drinks machines in the dinning room were always either breaking down or empty.

We had never been to Lanzarote before and this place made it a bad experience.

SO THINK GOOD AND HARD BEFORE SPENDING YOUR MONEY ON A HOLIDAY HERE AT THE BLUE SEA COSTA TEGUISE GARDEN.

January 2012 Holiday

Apartment clean. Stayed All Inclusive. Food adequate but 'samey'.

Staff friendly. Night entertainment OK. Not much room around the pool if the hotel was full.

Overall good value for money, but gym doesn't exist, you have to pay for sun bed mattresses and the cost of a sauna and jacuzzi is 30 euros per hour!
