I Would Not Recommend Paleo Studios To Anyone Who
I would not recommend Paleo Studios to anyone who wishes to have a stress free holiday. I went with my sisters for about a week. When we arrived in the night, there was no-one to greet us and give us our keys despite the fact that the manager or what so ever she is lives right next to the accommodation. We had to wait in the rain until someone from the neighbouring hotel came to help us which was a slow process as they barely spoke english.
The staff was very rude, the blankets were uncomfortable and didnt look clean. We had to ask for clean towels and tissues which they made a fuss to give. The air conditioner was broken and the studios were fully booked so we were stuck with sleepless nights as it was too hot with the doors closed but if we opened them, mosquitoes would feast on us as there were no meshings in the doorway. The shower was horrible as although there was a shower curtain the base of the shower is only a couple inches high so whenever we showered the whole bathroom became flooded which meant it was hard to keep clean.
The location of the studios is also awful as there are not many shops available though they did have a couple of restaurants and a little supermarket near the studios which was okish but thats it! You have to get a bus into the main town centre to do any type of shoping. This presented an issue for me as airline lost my luggage so was stuck in the same clothes for two days!!! Be prepared to walk to get anywhere, the beach a bit of a walk away but if you love walking that wont be a problem. We paid for a day trip which included a return boat ride to a beach + lunch. The lunch was okish but bees were incessant crawling all over our food and buzzing nearby was was slightly uncomfortable considering I didnt want to get stung. The beach was very shingly, with huge pebbles and (obviously) very hot therefore you cant walk around without shoes or sandals. The water itself was disgusting and felt as if I was going to be washed away which is a bit funny at first but after a while it is annoying.
Either I'm the most unlucky person or things there are generally like this, either way things would have been a lot more bearable if we were in a better accommodation. Paleo Studios should be demolished.
In conclusion dont go if you are elderly and/or have walking difficulties and if you want to be treated with respect i.e people and staff from there not friendly. Not much to do unless you have lotsa cash to spare. But do go if want to laze around all day in a restaurant and you dont mind bees.
