We got married at the Macdonald Berystede Hotel & Spa on 25th August 2013.

We couldn't have hoped for a better place to celebrate our wedding (ceremony, wedding breakfast, buffet and disco). The wedding coordinators were so professional, friendly and helpful from our first visit until we packed the day after our wedding. There were so many details to think about, but they were there each step of the way to guide us and create our perfect day. The bridal party arrived the day before the wedding (coming from France) and we all received a warm welcome from the "wedding" team who helped with luggage and numerous boxes (own decorations, sweetie bar, etc). I (the bride) was given an amazing room, really spacious that was perfect to get ready the next morning. On the wedding day the whole staffs was brilliant to accommodate us and our guests and made us feel really special. The food was amazing, even my family (French and good food lovers) complimented our menu choice (to my relief). The Berystede Banqueting Manager (man in charge on the day) helped the maid of honour and best man through the day to make it seamless and resolve any issues (I didn't even realise there was issues!). He even helped organise a surprise for us at the end of the day by creating a rose petal way in the bridal suite and heart made of rose petals on the bed. The smell was divine and walking my sore bare feet on the petals so soothing after such a long day. Finally cherry on the cake, the pricing was really reasonable and there were no last minute/unexpected charges (as long as you don't choose open bar for guests!!). I highly recommend this hotel to celebrate your wedding and also recommend using the hotel preferred photographer Don Wales, as he knows all the best angles to capture the best moments of your special day.
