Value For Money
Awful
I can't describe how terrible this module is. It is extremely poorly written and it doesn't explain anything properly, full of mistakes.....
I don't even want to get started with the activities....
Avoid Avoid Avoid!!!
5 minutes watching youtube videos will teach you a million times more than many wasted hours trying to go the the modules materials.

Avoid At All Costs
It's hard to know where to begin. This course is so far below the open university standard I just can't believe they are presenting it at all. It is terribly written. The exercises are awful and the material often does not teach you enough to complete them. You can spend days on a single question because there are no solutions. You might then decide to post to the forum. The moderators will then say things like 'have a think abouy it'. They rarely help and are almost spiteful in their replies. Please avoid at all costs!

Avoid This Module If Possible.
I'm currently studying TT284, web technologies. It is the first edition of the module. It is very poor.
Firstly, there are many activities and questions that do not come accompanied with answers. You can imagine how hard this can make learning when you become stuck.
I paid £465 for this module because I'm covered by a transitional fee arrangement. Otherwise, I would have had to pay £1250. I'd feel sick right now if I had paid the latter, as it is clear the module if very far from complete. As such I do not think it is fair to charge the full amount for an unfinished product.
You are recommended to spend at least 10 hours a week studying the module. This does not include the additional material which adds another 5 hours at least onto the original 10. Additionally, all module material is online. This can cause a lot of eye strain and headaches from staring at a screen for long periods of time.
Finally, When querying and providing constructive criticism to production staff, who are omnipresent on the module forums, I was met with no sympathy or concern of my opinion as a student or customer. All responses I received were of a belligerent, arrogant and a patronising tone.
