It's Interesting To See These Bad Reviews As I Too
It's interesting to see these bad reviews as I too had an awful experience only a few days ago (Jan 2011). My friends and I were actually asked to leave the theatre during the interval as they claimed we had been asked 7 times to be quiet!! This was completely untrue which we told the manager, but her response was quite simply "I've made my decision". We had been asked by the usher to quieten down twice within the first 10 minutes of the show even though we did not think we were being disruptive. When I pointed out that we had not been told 7 times to be quiet I was told "Maybe you didn't hear the usher as you were talking too much". I was not, in fact, talking AT ALL. My friends and I clapped and sang along to the songs but I can only assume this is not allowed despite having behaved this way during many other shows that I have seen.
The staff were without a doubt the rudest people I have ever had the misfortune to meet and my friends and I will be advising the Theatre of our disgust at the treatment we received. My friend's 40th Birthday celebration was ruined thanks to the rude and unprofessional staff at The Aldwych Theatre.
You should have gone to karaoke and left theatre to theatre goers. Staff respond to complaints from other patrons who did not pay to hear you wailing along to the show. The production lays down the rules - not the theatre.

My Husband And I Went To See Dirty Dancing Jan 201
my husband and i went to see dirty dancing jan 2011, the show was great but the staff at the theatre were rude and uninterested, we paid £47 a ticket for our seats, 5 minutews before the show started the staff at the theatre moved everyone who were in the £16.50 seats to the seats behind us which were the same price bracket as ours! the people they moved then spent the first 10 minuted of the show ringing their mates to brag about the fact they were moved to better seats without paying the extra for them, on complaining to the manager of the theatre they were very uninterested and said their staff would never move people unless they had paid the extra to upgrade and that the people must have moved themselves, the manager refused to accept the fact that we saw and heard what the member of staff said to the people he moved when he moved them we will not be visiting this theatre again.

Seats Are Appalling No Leg Room Means The People N
Seats are appalling no leg room means the people next to you are in your space and the theatre was so hot ( October 09)it was unbearable couldn't wait to leave. Staff not interested in complaints but the show and set are great

Great Show That Was Spoiled By The Very Poor Seati
Great show that was spoiled by the very poor seating with no leg room and so close to the next person. Definitely would not recommend this theatre to anyone, really overshadowed the musical. So so uncomfortable, I will not be back!
My Newly Wedded Wife And I Went To See Dirty Danci
My newly wedded wife and I went to see dirty dancing on sat 7th June. My wife is heavily pregnant and expecting at any time. £60.00 each for seats in the stalls which were highly uncomfortable with no legroom at all.

Would Like To See The Show Again At Aldwych Theatr
Would like to see the show again at Aldwych Theatre, London but with proper seats to do the production justice.
Please make sure that you get good advice from the box office as we were mislead being told that they were restricted seats but had a good view.We bought tickets for Box A & D and were told that they were restricted seats but had a good view and could see most of the stage. But in actual fact there was a speaker in front of our seats that was actually about 3ft tall and 2ft wide so in actual fact all you could see was the front third of the stage and front the middle of the stage across. There should not be seats in this position. We paid ?37.50 each for the privilege when top seats were only 49.50. I would suggest that either these seats are withdrawn from sale, or you move the speakers or sell the tickets for 15.00 as you only see a third of the production.
