Odeon Movie Matinée
I have been to a few rather fabulous cinemas in my time.
Yet movies are getting a well needed revamp for 2025.
I am rather fond of the movies. Music is another great love of mine as are books.
Ten years or so ago we were just settling in to a film of Beauty & The Beast at our local Odeon. They were quite superb considering we had to book with wheelchair access. On that occasion we had these special 3D specs for the movie. The sweet treats were great and the fizzy pop well needed for a Mother and Daughter date. It was pretty splendid to be honest and we came away with the feeling of goodness, fun together and the warm fuzzy a movie can bring. Roll on ten years as I guestimates it is in reasonable terms about that. A very close friend and myself do movies date matinee performance. We Live In Time. More on that later don't want to spoiler a really fantastic storyline and rather fabulous soundtrack not to mention the very emotive sensitivity. Yes we loved it as much as The Beauty & The Beast.
To note some great aspects that need to come back with the state of the art effect we felt ten years ago.
• we still love you Odeon yet the technology is very unfair to you and your customers
• The picture house we visited is a very clean, welcoming and lovely building yet it needs something in the food hall perhaps more VIP for customers and perhaps a film makers magazine suite for all those want to be a bit more buff
• incredible to this I love the seating it's just sometimes a little bit cold around our feet during the movie and perhaps film merchandise should be available in this regard
• The snacks look good and are always zealously appealing yet we were slightly belated and save throwing popcorn over the crowd in the usher in we opted to quietly join our ticket places.
Great sound, fabulous for the movie goggles feeling.
• I recommend if it works on using the app and gift card applications yet would hope that the technical issues can be better communication from the customer perspective
• Perfect customer services from the crew we met though and hopeful that the ticket issues can be addressed with some equipment with the new updates
• Excited on entry and picking movies is a treat in this way for us yet truly loved knowing I can take my future company chairs to a good get together and lots of fun
• clean facilities, happy staff and yes the movie feels at pictures house is definitely one of my favourite things to do
•When they update the arena areas for great movies please consider this movement with technology for all of us especially from gifts, days out, team building as for great relations.
I would love to be more able to attend the movies more readily and I really appreciate too great customer services.

Would Vote Zero If I Could
I booked 3 tickets online for Bournemouth BH2 I had to do extra security with my bank to secure my booking.
At the end of the transaction I was told to contact Odeon, I spoke on chat which was total waste of time they just read from a script imo they said payment pending and contact my bank, so frustrating I know for a fact my bank can't do anything 3 emails to customer service with proof from my bank Odeon were holding payment . They point blank to refund me NEVER AGAIN will we step foot in Odeon

Start by saying even if I was paid I would NEVER visit this cinema ever again, from the start was just awful. So understaffed waiting long time in queues. When I finally got to the till and paid for drinks and food I was then sent to the end till to stand in another long queue to be told that they couldn't give me 1 food item and have to wait again keeping in mind the film was starting in 3 mins time. So had no other choice to get a refund. So then the manager singled out Only us in front of everyone, stopping us by saying hold on you haven't shown code to walk on in, but the guy scanned our code to go in this was because she didn't like the fact that I asked for refund on item that I was charged for but they couldn't make in time for film. No bags of sweets or crisps nothing to choose from.They had no trays for drinks, the lids didn't fit the drinks so couldn't hold them without them spilling everywhere. Seats were so bad we stayed 20 mins into film and walked out. Wouldn't recommend this place Belfast Victoria Square. Absolute disgusting experience.

Rescued Seating From The Bin?
Odeon Derby - this place used to be lovely, however, the seating hasn't been maintained leading to rips in the seats and black gaffer tape used to 'fix'. After looking at other seats, it seems this is an issue with most of the seating too. When it's £20+ a ticket you expect much more. Complained to Odeon who said I should have left the film, and asked a member of staff to be seated elsewhere (missing part of the movie and in this circumstance, the screen was fully booked). Clearly not fussed about dealing with the actual issue

Never Pay For The Membership
Never pay for the membership. They do not let you cancel it they make it very difficult for you to do it. On 05/11 I sent a request to cancel my membership and today is 27/11 and they have not replied to me yet. There is no phone number available to contact them. They only make an online form available and they advise you to wait until they contact you. They said they aim to reply in 4 days but it is a lie. They have charged me the monthly payment again.
No Customer Service If You Complain
We used to visit the cinema at least once each month pre Covid and got a £25 Odeon Gift voucher from a friend just before lockdown. Not able to use or not comfortable during the last couple of years but last week decided it would now be safe. Tried to use the Gift Voucher but guess what? Voucher shows as expired and Odeon keep the whole value!!! Used the online help and completed the form for a call back but that was 3 days ago and still no communication. Cinema was great ( Springs, Leeds) but Odeon Ltd are terrible and Customer Services as others have said is non existent. NEVER BUY THEIR GIFT VOUCHERS.
3-11-2022 STILL NO COMMUNICATION FROM CUSTOMER SERVICES 3 weeks later.

No Humans Allowed, Website Hates Humans
Ever tried to actually SPEAK to a HUMAN at their cinema via their website. Haha. Their non existant customer service is a joke. YOU SIMPLY CANNOT find a telephone number to call a HUMAN. Their ContactUs is automatic Q&A only.
SO as so many cinemas out there, my business is going to them.
Bye bye Odeon - your loss. My money goes to your competition.
FYI. Maybe consider your customers are ACTUALLY real life humans and might one day like to speak to one of your humans employed for service.
oh, and btw, not everyone has a Smartphone or uses QR codes
Volume!
Had a really nice experience at Odeon Luxe in Leicester Square last weekend. Nice helpful staff, clean premises, comfy seats, great film. Just one problem, my ears being nearly ruptured by the sound level. Why does the volume have to be so high??? It is actually painful and I'm not sure I can go back to the Odeon again because of this.
What a shame!

Why Is The Sound So Loud ???
I have been to the Odeon in Mansfield many times over the years ... but I don't think that we will be going again!
What is the reason? ...... the volume of the sound is painfully loud it actually hurts my ears!!!

My Wife And I Have Just Visited The Odeon In Bath
My wife and I have just visited the Odeon in Bath I can't complain about the staff or the experience but I was appalled at the price. I asked for 2 seniors and was told it was £20 , I Will not be going back to this cinema group I will give my custom to vue
