The Only Good Thing About This Cinema Is That It's

The only good thing about this Cinema is that it's empty so you dont have to queue. In here lies the irony, you would think the staff would have time to be courteous, would it be too much to ask to get a please, or a thankyou or even a smile - It would appear so! I've been there twice, was dragged there for a third visit but NEVER AGAIN!!!!!

The Altrincham Branch Of Apollo Cinema Is Dirty An

The Altrincham branch of Apollo cinema is dirty and staffed by dis-interested kids.

The cinema is always half empty as it is over-priced and poorly run, even to the extent of charging for 3D glasses, no point in complaining to the manager, she couldn't care less and emails to the company are just ignored.

Don't bother going here it is a dump.

I Love The Apollo Cinema On Lower Regent Street In

I love the Apollo cinema on Lower Regent Street in London. Probably for all the wrong reasons!

It doesn't always have the most comprehensive selection of films but when it does show a film you want to see you can pretty much guarantee you can see it in a not-packed-to-the-hilt auditorium on any day of the week - even Saturdays and Sundays. You can watch it in an auditorium blessedly devoid of hoards of teenages chatting through the film, which is the biggest bugbear in my life (well, almost!).

I am not sure why this is; maybe it's just tucked away from the main Leicester Square area so too far for people to walk to and maybe it's not a name people recognise so they do go but I am glad. If they did they would know it has the most comfortable cinema seats in the city. Big squashy red chairs that recline back and for which you are not charged a massive premium. A great sound system and a nice little bar/concession area.

I love it but sshh - don't tell anyone.
