Big Fish

I recommend my favorite movie. The title is "Big Fish". The director is Tim Burton. It was made in 2003. The main character are Ewan McGregor, Albert Finny and Billy Crudup. It is a moving fantasy story.

The main character`s name is William "Will" Bloom. His father`s name is Edward Bloom. His father always talks to William about his life story. When William was a child, he likes his story. But he when he got older, his mind changed. Now he doesn`t like his story. Because, his father talks about this all the time anywhere. William becomes annoyed. One day, William had a wedding party by himself. But his father also talked about his story around everyone. People laughed but William got really angry .After, his father got seriously sick. He went to his house. At the time, he entered his father`s room silently and he found his father`s secret diary and read it. He noticed a woman's name. So he tried to find her because he thought that perhaps she knows about his true story. Finally, he found a her house and talked with her. And he could know about his true story...

It`s a kind of family story not only a fantasy. We watch many various stories. Because, his father had lots of varied experiences. About a giant story, a little scary story and his love story. When the woman who knows his father's true story is talking about this, we can watch his interesting story. It`s not boring. And Tim Burton`s film is brilliantly imaginative. But normally they are dark. But this one is very colourful in the background. We can enjoy just looking at it.

If you watch this movie, you can feel a lot of feelings. Interesting, romantic, funny, and moving. You should check it out.

First Of All I Have To Say I Am A Tim Burton Fan,

First of all I have to say I am a Tim Burton fan, so I may be a bit biased but... I love this film, watched it many times and it's still brilliant.

Will (Billy Crudup) is the estranged son of dying Ed Bloom (Albert Finney) who goes home to reconcile with his sick father. The reason for their falling out is that Ed tells great tales and Will basically thinks he has never told him the truth about anything! The film is mainly told in flashback, where Ewan McGregor plays the young Ed Bloom very well, through many great stories and adventures. It's a lovely tale about a father - son relationship married into Tim Burton's weird and wonderful imagination.

Be warned though, if you are feeling soppy (I recently watched it not long after my grandfather's funeral), you may cry at the end!!

Big Fish - I Didn't Actually See Big Fish At The C

Big Fish - I didn't actually see Big Fish at the cinema, but a friend brought it for my birthday as I didn't know what I wanted and my sister told her to get me Big Fish, just so my sister could watch it as she had seen it and loved it.

When I started to watch it, I was a bit confused and my sister had to do some explaining (im one of those people who always has to ask questions during the film). After a while I started to understand it much more - that the father always told stories about his life and his son didn't believe him.

The stories told are in his past, and Ewan Mcgregor plays the younger father. I loved these stories, they were so fun and made you think life was great! It made me want to go on adventures and find little remote villages no one knew about who hung their shoes up at the front! The story of the father falling in love with the girl, and then doing everything to try and get her to marry him was beautiful!

The ending was so emotional but the son realising that the stories were true was a brilliantly good idea to end with.

Although this is based on a book, I haven't read it and I'm not sure whether to. Apparently it's quite a hard read, but I guess it may be eaisier to understand after seeing this film.

Overall, a brilliant film! Aa really feelgood film with a sad-happy ending. It made me cry, laugh, and suprised me - and a film that does that really shows how good it is. This film made me go away after watching it thinking how great life was. So if you ever feel upset or depressed, watch this film!!
