Tong Sam, Dunstable

Have been visiting this restaurant for many years now and would recommend it to everyone I know. The one thing is the atmosphere needs updating, music in the background required dependant on time of year or just simply some music to create a perfect meal whether in a couple or group.

I have been coming to Tong Sam since I moved into the area about two years ago, and their standard has always been very high. They do an unlimited three course meal, whereby you order from the menu, and everything is freshly cooked and brought to the table. The food is always fresh and delicious, and there are lots of different dishes to choose from, and at £14.90 a head, it's great value for money. The service is always attentive and friendly. I will continue to recommend Tong Sam to all my friends and family.

We ordered by telephone.Very desapointed.Food was very oily, pork did not have a test of pork, chicken either.Looks like it was cooked several days before.And to top it all,we found a hair in a rice!

What a good diner! We were worried that on the Saturday night it will be congested and therefore uncomfortable, yet it wasn't when I went, I really had the pleasure of being allowed to look into it myself and chat easily with my friends.

Your wine menu was intriguing and the bar staff particularly informed and very helpful. I can't wait to get back there and taste more food or carry out a wine sampling.

I ordered food over the phone after looking on their website at the menu and prices. The price I was asked to pay did not match the website price. I queried this and was told the restaurant did not have time to check and would charge me the price I expected to pay, I gave them my card details for payment. After checking my statement I'm disgusted to say they charged me the higher price. I rarely order chinese takeout and after this experience I am in doubt about the honestly of this company and will not be ordering food again

We have been eating at this restaurant since it first opened. It doesn't look much from the outside - and I wouldn't say it had gone over the top on the interior decor - BUT... The food is fabulous. We have never had a bad meal.

The service is great and the staff really enthuse if you ask their opinion or advice.

This is actually a review for the delivery service. I should start by saying I have never been bothered to review any restaurant near me. I cook a lot and am constanly dissapointed by takeaway and delivery restaurants near me (Toddington). And without wanting to sound snobby, I was sceptical that a local dunstable restaurant would be any different. So I was enourmously pleasantly surprised when the food arrived. It wasn't the typical reheated rubbish in stale oil I normally get. This was freshly prepared, really tasty fresh food. I will be ordering again. Thank you Tong Sam for a top dinner!

As usual, exquisite food and fabulous service. The staff are extremely welcoming and on hand to describe dishes and make recommendations.

All dishes are freshly cooked to order, so no luke warm offerings here.

The Vietnamese crisp pork and grilled dumplings are to die for.

Went for my partner's birthday, taking our two teenagers and one of their friends, who has not experienced much Chinese food. Needless to say, he is converted and loved every dish we ordered.

I cannot recommend this restaurant highly enough.

Love this restaurant, food is fantastic. They do an all- you- can- eat buffet which is freshly cooked for you; what a difference from the rest of the buffet restaurants with their lukewarm food sitting in the warmers. Staff is always friendly and efficient, and considering the quality of the food, its excellent value for money. Will recommend to all my friends and family, and anyone who enjoys good quality food.

A fantastic resturant with a friendly and efficient staffing team. Having a partner who is vegitarian can make finding a good and varied meal hard. Tong Sam provides an entire menu dedicated to vegitarian dishes with an extensive selection which not only looks good but tastes great. Both my partner and myself would highly recommened Tong Sam to anyone.
