An Absolutely Terrible And Unprofessional Experience

On Saturday the 21st of April me and a freind of mine went to the resteraunt for an evening meal the level of service was ok but i need to point out that what you see on the menu is not always what you actually receive.

Let me explain..... i ordered a braised steak wich is advertised as being cooked slowly i received my order within 15 minutes of placing the order the steak was camoflaged in sauce because the meat i had actually recived was not braised steak it was beef but not braised steak i then consulted a member of staff to explain why i did,nt get what i had ordered he then explained that they didn,t have braised steak and thought i would like that insted but without even consulting with me first.

i then asked the the staff members name he replied My name is Fernando my freind also complained about her pizzza becuased it was under cooked and said that it ressembled cheese on toast rather than and authentic italian pizza and the best they could offer us was a free cup of coffe we asked for the bill we paid for the meal we did,nt eat and then asked me if i wanted my change.

this has been an aufull experience and will not be going back any time soon.

Love it at Mamma Mias - go often with family and friends and the staff are always lovely and food is delicious! As an italian I appreciate authentic Italian food, and this definitely meets that criteria!

Really Looked After Us Well. Found Us A Table When

Really looked after us well. Found us a table when we hadn't booked. Speed of service fine. Went out of their way to adjust the menu to suit one of our party who is autistic and very picky about what he will eat - Mamma Mia's adapted very well so we all had a fine meal. We visited Dec 2010 and will definitely be back.

Upon Arrival We Were Seated Very Quickly And Given

Upon arrival we were seated very quickly and given our menus. We then proceeded to wait 15-20 mins for our drinks order to be taken, we also then ensured our food order was taken as we were concerned we would be kept waiting again.

The starters arrived promptly and were quite nice, unfortunately I cannot say the same for the main course - mine was inedible. I left the meal only a quarter eaten. When the waiter finally came to collect our plates he proceeded to repeatedly question me about what was wrong with the meal and made me feel uncomfortable when I could not explain what was wrong with it other than it did not taste right and we just ended up requesting the bill so we could leave.

The waiter then returned with the bill and started to tell me that there was nothing wrong with the meal as he had just tried it and began patronising me asking whether I had tried Pesto before and saying it was strong cheese. I proceeded to say that it was not this that was the problem but something tasted wrong in the dish.

Overall this was a very unpleasant evening with poor customer service - the waiter grilling and questioning me left me close to tears as I did not feel I deserved to be interrogated in front of a busy restaurant - leaving me feeling very embarrassed. They have obviously never heard of the phrase the customer is always right!

I ended up leaving the restaurant hungry and £40 worse off - as we were offered nothing in the way of compensation or even an apology. We will not be returning!!!

Our Family Of 5 People Went To Brunos Mama Mia, In

Our family of 5 people went to Brunos Mama Mia, in Bedford, for a quiet dinner out. Behind our table there was a birthday table booked for around 16 ppl. As we arrived they started their little party and it was very noise indeed, the restaurant helped their party adding a globe shaped night club lights and a very loud congratulations song. We asked to be moved to another table as we couldn't speak or hear each other but we just found a manager completely hostile towards us because of our request. A staff member arrived at our table asking: "Do you have a problem? ' We said yes sir, and insisted in moving away from that loud mess or we would have to leave, for our great surprise, we were given the option to leave. This was an experience that will not be repeated. To be honest we wouldn't give them another chance after the experience we had. We felt very sad, I will write to Bedfordshire on Sunday seeking their opinion on restaurant's hostility. Mum said that she was shocked because she is a customer at Bruno's since they started their small restaurant in Bedford, so she didn't expect that treatment. I am still shocked with their customer service/care, and we were angered about our mum being so upset due to that incident. I want to make sure that they know that in the same way they made their way up, with us dinning there a lot, they will make their way down without us, regular customers. I hope everyone who had bad experiences there follow the same as us.

I am the Manager of Mamma Mia's in bedford. I recall this situation very well. The table the customer booked originally was for 4 guest, on short notice the numbers increased to 5 guests. Unfortunately the table that they were alloocated on only seated 4 guests and this table was near the front of the restaurant away from the party, so happily we moved the guest on to another table which we were able to join a small table to create seating for 5 on the other side of the restaurant. This evening was extremely busy and all tables had already been allocated. Mamma Mia's have been in business for 28 years and we treat all our customers with the up most respect. Unfortunately on this occasion the customer, was unhappy with the table that we moved her onto.The customer then started to demand to be moved. We tried to explain to the customer that all the tables are already booked. this would be unfair to all our other customers who booked for 5 or 6, to moved onto a different table. Not forgetting that alot of the tables had been requested. This still wasn't good enough and the customer felt the need to continue demanding whilst raising her voice. She then put an altermatum towards us and said if you don't move us we will leave. At this point after her persitant rudness towards us, we had no other option but to adhere to the ladies request.

My Husband And I Have Never Had A Bad Meal Here, A

My husband and I have never had a bad meal here, and have always thought the staff are friendly. Service is good and it is great for a chilled, not too expensive meal out. I would highly recommend Mama Mias, but make sure you book at a weekend!

I Thought The Menu At Bruno's Mama Mia Was Far Too

I thought the menu at Bruno's Mama Mia was far too big and the service was poor. My starter took 30 minutes to arrive with no apology. My wife's starter was burnt on the bottom and had apparently been waiting a long time for my starter to catch up.

Would not recommend this place. It seemed like an old fashioned menu and old fashioned decor. I experienced poor service and a member of staff seemed rude to us when we mentioned the overcooked starter. Sorry mate I know you didn't cook it but it was not my fault either.

We apologise if you felt that you had a bad experience at our establishment.

We take extreme pride in the way we run our restaurant and please don't take this as being arrogant.

With all the experience we have had in providing a perfect service with large parties, unfortunately what is failed to appreciate is that if a party is booked at a certain time, we make sure that we are prepared to serve that table within 15 minutes once all the guests are seated, but on occasions this isn't the case. When members of the party arrive late, we generally do not commence serving the food until all the guests have arrived, which now from experience causes a back log of orders. In a situation like this if not all the guests have arrived, we will approach a member of the party, whether they wish us to commence with the food, or if they would like us to wait, but understanding that if they wish to wait any longer, we will then commence serving other tables. Delays will now be on the tables that have arrived past there due time NOT the tables that have arrived on time. But remember we will always try our upmost not to be in this situation.

Definitely Worth Going To - My Favourite Restauran

Definitely worth going to - My favourite restaurant in Bedford. Friendly staff, great food and authentic italian. Clean, tidy and can see the food being cooked in the kitchen. Warm and welcoming restaurant. No bad points that i could find
