Wow - I Just Can't Get Enough Of Morrowind: Game O

Wow - I just can't get enough of Morrowind: Game of the Year Edition. The depth that this game goes into easily compares to PlayStation classics such as Final Fantasy VII and VIII. At the time of writing (still eagerly awaiting 'Fable'), no other Xbox game comes close in the RPG genre to the sheer SIZE of this game. It offers freedom of action like no other RPG I've come across, and because of the seemingly-infinite ways to go about the game, it's replayability factor is arguably higher than any other RGP on the market at the moment.

'Busy' areas of the game (Enormous cities such as Mournhold and Vivec, and in particular the mountain-fortress Dagoth Ur) do have a tendency to put a strain in system resources, and as a consequence you can expect a degree of slowdown when visiting these areas. However, this is much less noticeable in 1st person view compared to 3rd person, and doesn't really detract an awful lot from the gaming experience.

The array of enemies to fight is staggering, and a nice touch is to make certain creatures geography-specific, which makes hunting much less 'random', and a lot more enjoyable!

Character generation can be as simple or as complex as you like, and there are no restrictions to, say, putting heavy armour on a mage, or giving Barbarians spell-casting abilities. The only drawback to this is that the game is considerably easier when playing a warrior class, compared to either the theif or mage-classes. Ah well, momma always said carrying a big stick made life easier...

The last topic I want to discuss is the graphics. Wow. Beautifully constructed cities that positively reek of authenticity, miles of rolling hills that avoid becoming repetetive, the expansive snowfields of Solstheim and the rank sewers of Mournhold make this one of the most aesthetically pleasing RPGs that I've playing in a long time.

In summary, I would definitely reccomend Morrowind: GOTY to anyone interested in the RPG genre. Provided you don't mind setting aside a good few hours initially to get into the swing of things, and don't object to a game that can destroy your social life in a week, then you will not be disappointed!

I Love Morrowind Because It Is A Non Online Versio

I love Morrowind because it is a non online version of Evercrack(EverQuest). It even affects you in the same way. It has great graphics and also has over 200,000 different interactive characters. The world is so extensive that you will make good use of the map that comes with it or you will get lost for days(I have many of times).
