I Love It But...

I used mynetdiary and LOVED it but when I got my fitbit a couple of years ago, I stopped using it as it didnt synch. Ive just discovered they now do, so I very excitedly got the app back on my phone and noticed new features and layouts. Great. I could use my favourite app again... only if I want it to synch to my fitbit (something other apps do for free) I have to pay $60... per year! I had already upgraded to mynetdiaryPRO but apparently that doesnt count. So back I go to MyFitnessPal or Fitbit which do all of this FOR FREE. Such a shame. Id tell everyone to use this and would give it full stars... if only it wasnt so expensive and if only there werent other, more affordable options out there that offer more, for free.

Easy To Use

I recently made the decision to lose some weight. I'm not exactly huge but I have this little extra 'me' around the middle and some of my clothes just don't fit as nicely anymore.

So me and my other half decided to start watching what we eat in an effort to eat healthier and pay more attention to the naughty foods we are eating.

MyNetDiary seemed to be a good idea as it allows me to enter the foods I eat each day as well as log any exercise and also my weight loss. I started with just the free version online but after seeing my bf's app on his iPhone I spent a few pounds and bought the Android app which is handy when I'm away from home or can't get to my laptop.

The only niggle I have is most of the meals or foods that already exist in the database are American so unless you're comfortable with seeing measures like cups (I sometimes cook in cups so it's no bother to me) or having to enter in all the nutrition info for new foods then perhaps a UK created site would suit you better.

I found it pleasing to watch as my weight slowly goes down. I'm not crazy calorie counting but it definately helps seeing how many fats I eat in a day as I start to choose healthier options.
