Engineering Their Own Demise

The public's trust of mainstream media is currently in the toilet. So what do the BBC do to try and turn around this situation? They continue to push their minority agenda on a increasingly angry public - the very public that are absolutely sick of the BBC's left-wing reporting on Brexit and their abuse of licence payer's money on supporting the Labour party post Brexit (https://youtu.be/Kx2C2d_PgT4). Oh I agree the BBC are good at some things. Their comedy output excels in areas you wouldn't expect, i.e. take the daily Coronavirus update questions from the media. Laura Kuenssberg's questions are comedically tragic in their sheer stupidity. Questions that, if she'd listened carefully - had already been answered clearly quite some time earlier in the briefing! Like all other current BBC reporter idiots, her desperation to remain relevant and to justify her role is quite frankly embarrassing. The BBC must STOP promoting ignorant and hatchet faced idiots that are clearly unqualified for the role (yes you, Emilly Maitliss). STOP insulting a clear majority in a democracy that decided that the EU was unfit for purpose and that the Labour party were dead in the water. ACCEPT that the licence fee should NOT be something that is punishable in court if you don't receive any BBC output. ACCEPT that the licence fee can no longer be a sustainable business model. The BBC has no choice but to become a paid streaming service where the Customer decides to pay or not. BBC, if you want to retain any dignity - accept your fate!

Very Poor Website Reflecting A Badly Run Organisation

Considering the BBC receive a massive £3.2 billion per year in tax (er licence fee) they continue to produce a very poor output whilst congratulating themselves. The website is a good example of their lack of real content. We will leave the badly design web pages and confusing displays for the moment and look at the content. Of course we all expect from the BBC the usual mix of politically correct 'news', items lifted from the tabloids news agenda and 'cat stuck in tree' fillers but they now seem obsessed with virtue signalling and identity issues. Nobody is interested. They are typical of an over-funded, smug, out of touch organisation where people are so sure of keeping their jobs they don't really have to produce any content. A classic example of what happens to a media organisation that has access to limitless amounts of money without having to think of the real customer. Not worth the compulsory licence.

The Decline Of Design

I'd like to know why the BBC thinks that it is a good idea to illustrate every news item with a photograph. This takes up space, thus limited ease of access, and is quite unnecessary. A list of headlines would do just fine.

For example, we might have: 'Plane Crashes in North Sea' and this will be illustrated with an image of a plane. Not that plane crash or indeed any plane crash, but just a plane. Presumably this is to help those who have no idea what a plane looks like.

It's all nonsense.

I Have The Bbc Website Set Up As My Homepage As I

I have the BBC website set up as my homepage as I find it very informative and easy to navigate around. The homepage of the BBC website is superb - very clearly laid out with clearly deifned sections. I like the new layout they intorudced last year with the key three topics in the main sections (news and sports etc) sections highlighted that you can scroll over and the picture changes depending on the story. I also like the fact that the homepage always looks fresh because not only is the content constantly updated but the colours change and there is also an interesting feature in the main header box. If by any chance I've been unable to find what I'm looking for then then search engine is very good and retrieves results almost instantly. One small gripe I have is with the new weather section which I believe has been put live recently. If you click on the 5 day forecast then you are presented with a map which is almost identical to the weather map you see on BBC1 news etc. However, online its impact is minimal and on a small laptop screen its not always easy to see the difference between cloud and rain etc. That said, the BBC website delivers all that you could possibly want and more. I also like the end of week quiz which is posted every Friday.
