Disaster
I have been using LM service for almost two months – I’m running it in conjunction with lovefilm service to compare. As of today (Thursday) I have not received any disks from them for a week. For a 3-at-home package, this is very poor. Having spoken to them 3 times, I was first told it’s due to an internal technical glitch. However, as of today, the lady called Rachel (who’s probably the rudest call centre employee I’ve ever spoken with) told me there are no internal problems or delays and it’s all Royal Mail fault. What’s worse, I’m unable to cancel my account as, according to LM, they did actually post my disks on Monday. Needless to say, lovefilm have delivered 6 disks during this period.
Two pound saving per month really does not justify switching to this horrible, horrible service from Lidle Movies.

Totally Dreadful Service. Not Only Do They Rarely
Totally dreadful service. Not only do they rarely send you DVDs, I was on the unlimited package, but they stock only a very limited range of DVDs compared to LoveFilm. They say maintain a healthy wish list but even then, they seem to be always out.
To add insult to injury, I have now spent the last six weeks trying to close my account.
The website makes it really difficult to know if your request has been received and I have had no correspondence from them after three attempts to contact them. I have had to ask my bank to stop the standing order.
They are utterly disappointing. What value is there to being cheaper than everyone else when your service is so dreadful?

Shockingly bad customer service, slow turnaround, I opted for 2 DVD's per month and have only received 1! They send standard template responses to any account queries, I am cancelling and would rather pay more and get a better service! DONT DO IT !

Worst Dvd Rental Company Out There And I've Tried
worst dvd rental company out there and i've tried them all! they stole £123 out of my account while i was on the 'free' trial i have now sent around 20 emails and phoned several times trying to be refunded, the customer service is the worst in India! i am with orange who also use indian call centres and they are great and very helpful, however this Lidl dvd rental uses the worst i have ever had the dis pleasure of speaking to, i also found the actual service useless, i was supposed to be on an unlimited package but within the month free trial only recieved about 5 discs, then i tried to cancel and they were still sending them making it impossible to cancel until they recieved the next disc, the discs also stated not for rental on them so they aren't even buying the legally required discs! i suggest staying well clear of this cowboy operation of a dvd rental service, i'm back with lovefilm, Tesco is a part of lovefilm but even then i found it slower than lovefilm and you don't get the free streaming on the Ps3 with them which is awesome, so thumbs up lovefilm, thumbs so far down there through the floor for lidl

I Tried Lidl Movies As I Was Thinking Of Changing
I tried Lidl Movies as I was thinking of changing from Lovefilm - not any more. Their prices are better but their customer service is awful. I emailed them with a query, which they replied straight away to, but didn't answer the question. I've now emailed another 3 times with no reply, and have resorted to putting a complaining letter in with my latest disk returns telling them to cancel my free trial immediately. Also, I have 2 disks at a time and for no apparent reason, 1 of the disks always arrives 2 days after the other despite Lidl claiming to post them at the same time! Cheap, but I now know the reason for it - avoid.

The Unlimtted 3 Disc Package Is By No Means Unlimi
The unlimtted 3 disc package is by no means unlimited. It takes them 1-2 days to check in your discs and a further 1-3 working days to send you new disc's, so thats how they keep the price down. new releases are hard to come by and video adds on the website are infrequent so you keep ordering dvd's that you watched years ago and forgot the name of. box sets are sent out in dribs and drabs. shall be returning to love film if they let me out of the contract???

I Moved From Tesco Dvd To Lidl As It Was Slightly
I moved from Tesco DVD to Lidl as it was slightly cheaper. Lidl's service was terrible. I called to complain that, again, I had not received a DVD for 10 days and wanted to cancel my membership. After calling to cancel, I noticed that two minutes after the call was made, a DVD had been sent out. As soon as I received this, I sent it back guaranteed next day delivery. They denied receiving the DVD and tried to charge £30 to my card until I sent them a copy of their staff member's signature confirming receipt. Steer clear!

This Is The Worst On Line Rental Service I Have Us
This is the worst on line rental service I have used. Took a while for other DVDs to be sent out once I returned them to this outfit. Closed account before free trial ended. Then told disc lost. Four weeks after e-mailing customers services only given 14 days to complete lost disc form after three months no reply. Decided to investigate and I have now referred this to Trading Standards who are having the same problem as to no replies to e-mails etc. Spoke to the Pareent company out Now Entertainment director had arguments as to why no answer to my letter and e-mails claimed that they had sent them to me. Do not use the worst service ever and this is still ongoing

Cancelled The Account But They Have Reactivated It
Cancelled the account but they have reactivated it claiming the discs were not sent back in time( Totally incorrect) and keep taking money out without sending discs. Will not reply to emails or contact me by phone. The wish list is a waste of time you hardly get what you want and they are so slow at processing there is little point in being a member.Please do not join you are only going to lose money.
