Great Hotel
we have just returned from a week in the Bluebay Lanzarote. On arrival we had been allocated a room by the tennis courts, I asked if we could have a room with a pool view and this was not a problem to the staff on reception. The rooms are modern and clean. The food is excellent with a good choice. The entertainment was not the best I would compare it to a haven, this could be down to it being the time of year, we did not use the pool during our stay due to choosing the wrong week for the weather. I would recommend a holiday at the bluebay and hope to return in the future.

Such Good Value...........
We booked our 1st All inclusive holiday through Lowcostholidays.com, fantastic value, flights with Ryanair were ontime, transfers on time and easy to confirm, hotel accurately described on website.
We are a family of 3 (our son is 9) have just returned from a fantastic time at the Bluebay Lanzarote, check in was quick and easy and I was given a voucher for a free use of the spa.
Our room was top floor block D, overlooking the sports courts and distant view of the sea. The room was just as it is in the pictures, a litre bottle of water was in the fridge on arrival, I did not use the kettle, toaster or cooker, just the fridge to store drinks in.
The hotel location is very good, a short walk to Playa Bastian beach which is fairly small and the sand is coarse, very pretty and we saw spanish people having bbq's on it later in the evening. A further 10 minute walk up the road brings you to the main road lots of restaurants and shops so if you are self catering you will not be disappointed. On Friday nights there is a small market here at the square, its not big but worth a look round and a great atmostphere, we went back to the square later in the week and live music was on. Small kids attractions/rides are also here.
The beach Las Cucharas was just off this road, lovely beach, golden sand, shallow water our son loved it on the waves. If you ask the hotel the day before you go to the beach they will order a picnic for you to take (pick it up at breakfast).
This brings me one of the highlights and thats the food, there is always a varied and extensive range of food and they even have themed days (Mexican, Spanish, Chinese, Italian). You can eat as healthy or as unhealthy as you like and there is always a range of snacks throughout the day, you can even pop in between 10.00pm and 11.30pm and order toasties! Nothing is too much trouble for the staff.
One word of warning - My partner lost half a day as the staff were over generous with their spirit measure the night before and created a few potent cocktails so go easy or you may suffer the same fate!
Entertainment is varied, good some nights but pretty shocking others, I would definitely mix it up between going into town, or even staying round the pool bar. There was a Karaoke night but we only got to do 1 song as it seems to cater mainly for the Spanish (Or it may have been we were so bad they pretended they didnt have what we asked for!).
There was also a Spanish night on the night we left which was pretty spectacular, all of the staff went to a lof of effort and as well as authentic Spanish Dancers and Singers there were also a variety of Tapas brought round, Sangria and Paella lessons were also given and everywhere was decorated accordingly.
There is an issue with the sun beds abut it all becomes a bit comical really and adds to the poolside banter the following day, some people take things a little too seriously, the beds in the apartment are not the most comfortable either (and make a screaching noise when you turn over!) but I wouldnt let the put you off as all in all you are sure to have a fantastic time and we would definitley consider going back again.
