Curacao, Breezes Curacao Resort Spa and Casino

We were there in Feb 2008. Maid service was fine. The sand is coral but somewhat coarse for normally shod feet - water shoes needed. There are no screens for balcony doors and the mosquitoes were a nuisance, so sleeping with fresh air is not an option. We were in building number 8. The toilet screamed and never flushed the first time and rarely the second. Also, it was set right against the wall, gentlemen beware. The towel rack was falling off the wall and was so rusty that even fresh towels had rust streaks on them. They charge $7.50 for 15 minutes of internet time. I would not go back there. Every other resort I've been to in the last 8 years has had it's flaws but this place was worst of all.

Once a year we plan a family vacation, nine family members went to Breezes Curacao. When we arrived our room was dirty, no hot water, and no AC, not to mention we were on the 'topless' beach. The hotel knew we had three children under the age of 10.

The next morning we were moved to another room, after sleeping in the heat and taking cold showers! When our luggage was transferred to the other room this is when the alleged crime happened. My nine year old daughters DVD player, iPod and several DVDs were stolen. These things never made it to our other room!

We spent hours during the rest of our week with hotel management. They did nothing for us.

Our family had spent hours calling an insurance company and contacting Breezes Curacao management again. The management gave incorrect information about where we actually were during the transfer of our luggage.

It's not about the money, we deserve to be able to replace my daughters belongings, including gifts from Santa!

We are honest people and it will be hard to explain to the children that other people will not take responsibility for their actions.

I advise anyone looking into staying at Breezes Curacao or a Superclub affiliated property to look further. There are many beautiful and respectful places to stay in the Caribbean.
