I Thought The Blue Star Hotel Was The Best Hotel I

I thought the blue star hotel was the best hotel I have ever stayed in I no some of the reviews are a bit mean but the blue star is a brilliant hotel. The staff are really friendly a big shout out to Hugh and Dean who are a great friend of ours and great staff. The reception is crazy in a good way its on the top then you get an out door lift down to your floor. Our apartment was right beside the pool it was great. We had a shop beside the reception and that had most of the things you need. It was in a great place because the europa centre was just up the road. I think this is a great hotel you should belive me and go there . !!

I And My Family Stayed With Blue Star And Returned

I and my family stayed with Blue Star and returned to the UK on 25th October 2010. What can I say? The best part about the holiday was the more than excellent service we received from the staff at the hotel. I must make particular reference to Mo and all of the hard working staff in the pool bar/ restaurant and at the restaurant on Floor 8 who made our time their very special. We have never been fed and looked after so well.

The pool bar and restaurant offers snacks and drinks throughout the day all of which I must say were great value for money. However I would recommend that you pay an evening visit to the restaurant on Floor 8 as you can't beat the service that they give to their customers. The food is great and the service can't be beaten. Mo and staff I must say I have never seen my other half (Mr Flash) drink so much Sangria and let his hair down as much as he did with you. Even if you're not eating you should go up and have a drink and meet Terry Bull the resident D J who is more than accommodating when playing requests for his audience. Terry, thanks for entertaining my daughter who is a fan of Michael Jackson and thank you very much for putting up with the dreadful Rod Stewart requests from my aunt.

I have read some of the negative reviews about Blue Star and I honestly can't see what the complaints are about. The accommodation is adequate, there are two cooking rings, a kettle, a fridge and basic utensils however you can purchase a toaster and other items if you need them for a small fee and deposit which you get back. To be fair, the weather was so good we didn't spend much time in the apartment anyway. The apartments are clean and the cleaners pop in every 2-3 days to clean and will offer fresh bedding and towels, nothing is too much trouble for them. I reported a repair at reception and it was done immediately and we had no concerns about security however we did purchase a safe key due to bad reviews that we had read. Like all of the reviews said, you get what you pay for and I was more than satisfied, plus did not see one cockroach on our travels.

The balconies were huge enough for all the family to relax on and the views were brilliant. There is an on-sight supermarket and again the staff there were very attentive and did their best to accommodate your requests. The beach is about 20 minutes away (downhill) however after sunbathing all day we caught a taxi back up which only cost in-between 2.50 and 2.80 euros. To Puerto Rico centre costs about 3.60 euros and the Europa centre is about 2 minutes away from Blue Star where you can find a variety of restaurants, bars and supermarkets. Again I must say that we tried a couple of restaurants there and still found Mo's restaurant to be the best because of the welcome we had received.

If you have children then it is a great place to stay as I have never been to such a relaxed place where the kids integrate well and share everything they have. The hotel has created a culture that is welcoming friendly and family orientated. If you are looking for an action packed holiday where the hotel provides entertainment throughout the day then Blue Star is not the place for you. If you like a relaxed, friendly and family orientated hotel then I would recommend this 100%. Whatever the case I and my family had the best time and we plan to return in the very near future.

We Stayed At The Blue Star Nov 2009, We Have Staye

We stayed at the blue star nov 2009, we have stayed at this hotel for the last 4 yrs twice a year and have loved it BUT it is now under new management

and they have introduced a pricing tier ! Well i,m sorry but if they want to do that then they need to spend some money on the place. The place is very basic but we noticed it had gone downhill since the takeover, not as many maids, i only saw the pool cleaned once in our weeek, there was a scum mark around the pool. The wash line at the apertment was hanging off the wall so could,nt hang much on it! The bathroom towels have always been bad the worst i,ve ever come across actually. The tv kept going off every 5 mins, when we first stayed there they had good channels. The sheets onthe beds have never been great , grey and a bit holie but this time ours were dirty!I must say we have never had to pay for a kettle as mentioned in some reviews. We are not fussy people by any means but we wont be staying there again, we have found a much superior place and not much more money, the blue star has had its day as far as we are concerned. We have had some good holidays there and Lewis on reception always made us welcome so we will miss seeing him. If you want a cheap hol and dont care what you get go for it but i would advise you dont pay the cheapest rate as you will end up on the lowest level away from anything, they used to use these rooms for storage only but it seems they have opened them up now. There is,nt a shop anymore either which was a bit inconveniant as it was handy to pop up and get milk or a paper etc. I always used to recommend the blue star for a cheapy but i would,nt anymore there are much better hotels around that area and they are not that much dearer and you will have a better holiday.

i thought this place was ok for a base after all you are not there to spend all your time cooking the views were fantastic as we were on the 7th floor saw no cockroaches it is on a steep hill but a five minute walk to europa centre i enjoyed the beach which aso has restuarants and shops you had to pay 1 euro an hour for the telly but they had euro sport when football was on unfortunely there was no entertainment which they never aid in the brochure but overall a good holiday

Blue Star Apartments, Overall Convenient Position.

Blue Star Apartments, overall convenient position. Reception staff friendly and always available. Not too big so feels more personal. There are two lifts so ignore the reviews which moan about the lift. Anyway climbing the steps helps to burn the calories!

Very Clean, Professional Staff, Clean Sheets, Towe

Very clean, professional staff, clean sheets, towels, and tea towels, great views over the sea, quiet location, but near enough to be in the heart of every thing. Puerto Rico is a lovely place with lots to do check out the chill bar its a great bar with very friendly people running it, Dolphin trip is a must, all in all hotel and location food and place is absolutely fab. Taxis from top to bottom of mountain varied with each fare which I couldn't understand.
