Average At Best
my partner and our 2 children (6 and 14) stayed at the Koala Garden Suites on 28/08/2016 to 04/09/2016
the resort itself is fine, nothing special, we didn't use the restaurant as preferred to eat out, the food in the vicinity is very basic, burgers, hotdogs, kebabs etc, there was one italian and a "Steakhouse" that didn't actually serve steak, a small plastic cup of beer (amstel) in the Koala Gardens bar is 2 euros the all inclusive element was burgers and hotdogs with an option of fish sticks
there is a small supermarket on the complex, however a SPAR is just outside the complex across a large grassy roundabout which has a better selection of food and drinks etc
as mentioned the staff were very friendly and the cleaners come everyday but saturday and tuesday
we wouldn't go back but still managed to enjoy the pools, of which there are approx 8/9 of them in the very large complex, the largest pool behind reception is the best one and the food/bar is next to this one
across the road is a funfair with a few restaurants (including a nice chinese by the name of Taiwan) in the funfair 20 euros gets you 60 tokens with the rides and games ranging from 2 tokens to 8 tokens, the kids had lots of fun here, you have to pass through a sketchy tunnel that i wouldn't try late at night! lesson learned on this holiday, somewhere different i think next time

Kaola Garden Suites Hotel
went to kaola gardens 13th january self catering good value for money really.room was clean and maids came in about 4 times during the week staff on reception were helpfull and understood english very well it costs around 3 to 4 euros to get to either maspalomas beach or playa de engles there is a free bus to the beach but we never bothered as was so cheap to go by taxi.we thought the cost of living has gone up a lot since we last went the average price for beer was 3-4 euros the average meal is between 8-20 euros depending where you go. there is a lovely town called porto de mogan that is worth a visit you can get a bus for 4-5 euros each way there are a lot of bars in playa des ingles most have a singer on about 10.00 pm at the rear of the kaola gardens is a market one thing you have to watch is time share sellers they are a nuisance hope this review helps
