Brilliant Hotel! Done Be Put Off...
I feel sorry for the man who wrote the below! I met him in the lift just after he got robbed?
There was a string of robberys in 6 hotels in the resort. It's not just the delfin. All i can say is I have been going to this hotel for just over 2 1/2 years now. In total i have been 11 times in this short period. I dont have a bad word to say. I mainly go back because of the friends i have made. Ryan, Jay and Alex are top top pple. Love these guys to a T Great hotel, great surroundings, beautiful beach, food is always brilliant. Also just around the corner from the hotel you will find an english bar called The foxes Arms, if ever you miss breakfast in the hotel i reccomend you go there! For a very very expensive 5 euros you have the best english breakfast you could wish for. Also same go's for sunday, if u miss ur roast beef and yorkshire pudding on a sunday, there sunday roasts are A.M.A.Z.I.N.G! If u read this go and try and dont like, i'll fetch ur bill, just say to Jamie or Karen stuart ryan from the delfin's friend is picking this tab up Obv it wont happen as the food is brill. Really reccomend this hotel for all familys. The entertainment staff really look after your kids. Got back myself 4 days ago, go 9 weeks tmoz for a week then when back go 7 weeks later to finish the season off :0 good times p.s if any 1 wants to know anything about the hotel/staff or surroundings feel free to drop me an e-mail [email protected] x

This Was Our Second And Last Visit To This Hotel,
This was our second and last visit to this hotel, do not go here if you want to keep your money or goods as on our first full day all our money and any other valubales were taken from our room along with several other rooms that were robbed on the same day, all entered with no signs of force used, reception did not want to know and even said that anyone could get into the rooms with a paper clip. 1 guest whom we traveled to the Guardia Civil with caught someone stealing from his room and took him to reception who let the thief walk out of the hotel with everything he had stolen, during our 2 week stay the hotel rooms were robbed on a regular basis, the reps and hotel staff tried to claim that it was just a few rooms and due to the iron man contest but we met at least 7 other guests that had been robbed whislt we were there, when we got home and checked the review sites we came across lots of reports going back over a year of rooms being robbed, so not just a few during the contest as they claimed.
the hotel is in a great location but that is were it ends, the walls are so thin you can hear everything from all rooms nearby add to that the music blasting out till after 11pm then the drunks returning till the small hours and you realise sleep is something you dream of.
The food is good with a reasonable choice, but rarely hot, we only got 3 hot meals in our 2 week stay.
Rooms are basic and small, nothing special.
Our advice try elsewere, at least you get to spend your hard earned money instead of letting somelse have it as and when they feel like it.

First Time In Alcudia, My Husband, Son(10 Yrs) And
First time in Alcudia, my husband, son(10 yrs) and myself stayed at the delfin.Very nice hotel.friendly staff on reception room was very clean, only downside just a bit small..we have been spoilt in the past with kitchen facilties but otherwise room clean and adequate maid service every day.breakfast good, plenty to choose from..evening meals good but lacked variation could do with more variety but staff always friendly.pool very good size..bar area good, prices reasonable..evening entertainment fantastic..kids disco..bingo (yippee) then the shows which i have to say were fab..entertainers Jay, Alex and Ryan really lovely people who kept adults and kids entertained throughout the day.Beach 5 mins walk..beautiful beaches white sands really stunning..we spent alot of time at the beach you can hire sunbeds for 4 euros for all day and it is worth it.Ten min walk to the waterpark..not overly massive but easier to keep an eye on your kids..it is perfect and plenty of fun for kids.. from hotel you can turn left onto main road and walk down where there are bars, restaurants and shops then the beautiful harbour..(worth the walk) or for 5 euro's you can visit the old town..highly recommended or turn right and again bars restaurants and shops..we went for meal out couple of times..would recommend Tamarindo's fantastic steaks and the kebabs (huge chunks of meat)..15.95 euros but worth every penny.. also Ola's restaurant (opposite)..very similar but again very good..further down there is a bridge along the canal with riverside bars..very pretty (would recommend the all star cafe)..some places were slightly dearer but the hotel bar prices are very reasonable. very enjoyable holiday..loved it that much we have already booked for next year..taking our two older girls and grandson..

Just Back From An Amazing Week In The Delfin Azul.
Just back from an amazing week in the Delfin Azul.
Check in took 1 minute, the room was spotless and was well equiped.
The meals were fantastic, lots of variety and you can eat as little or as much as you want. The staff were great and we went in late May so there were no problems with queues etc.
The pool and garden was adequate and had a good bar area. we found the prices of drinks reasonable 2 euros average price.
The night entertainment was great fun. Kids disco early on followed by a show each night. We seen tribute bands of Venessa May,Girls Aloud, Drifters , Westlife and Zerox comedy show. The last 3 were first class and not to be missed.

I Stayed At This Hotel In September For 2 Weeks. T
I stayed at this hotel in September for 2 weeks. The hotel is clean and always kept tidy. The staff are all extremly friendly and are very helpful! Food was great, seperate part for kids food. Food different every night and pudding lovely! The entertainment was very good, but sadly repetitive from week to week. Prices are not that cheap but well neither is majorca! Rooms were a good size and cleaners where there everyday to clean room. Computers were cheap to use, 2 euros for half and hour and 1 euro for 15 minutes. Theres nothing i would really fault about this hotel at all except the fact that kids under 18 can get served for alcohol very easily without being asked how old they are. My friends kids were both 15 and they were being served vodka shots (some free from the bar staff) every night! so keep watch of your teens!! but overalll a very good hotel. Defently recomenable.

Went To The Delphin Azul, As Part Of A Group Of 12
Went to the Delphin Azul, as part of a group of 12 Adults and 8 children for summer 2007. The food was of poor standard. This was discussed with the Thompson Reps, who I have to say, only one showed the slightest interest in anything we had to say and she was the only one who recorded what had been said. In my opinion the pool is laced with chlorine.
Evening entertainment at the hotel is OK but we found ourselves going out and about more than staying in. The music at the hotel was very loud at night, well up to midnight, when they legally have to stop, but up till then, despite what floor you are on, be prepared for the walls to vibrate the music all the way to the top floor. Don't plan on any early nights..............
That said, the cleaning staff at the hotel are unsurpassed and cannot be faulted. They are completely trustworthy, friendly and cannot do enough to help you. At the end of our stay I wanted to leave them a little tip for everything they did. They are not allowed to accept such a shame. They are a lovely bunch and when members of our group were ill, they couldn't do enough for you. Even bringing inflatable toys for the swimming pool, to keep the kids entertained whilst parents were ill. They really do deserve so much credit.
The hotel Restaurant manager does about the best he can with what he has got. He too is a jolly chap and will always greet you and especially children with a smile and friendly welcome.
Kids entertainment outside the hotel is good, but the Thomson Kids Club, consisted of my two kids being given colouring books and crayons to keep them occupied for the first week, we didn't bother with the second week, and kept them with us.
The nearby beach is perfect and the resort of Alcudia is stunning.
Beware of pick pockets, pretending to either sell flowers, or ask the time. They work in twos usually and your wallet will be gone before you know. One of our group had this happen, in a split second.
I would go back to Alcudia, but I would also think twice about returning to the Delphin Azul. We read the positive reports before going, and were disappointed with what we got compared to the reports.
