Slovenia, Ljubljana, Hotel Emonec

Firstly, the location is key here. This hotel is in the old town pedestrianized area. As a group of friends, it was great not to have to worry about taxis all the time. Bars and restaurants were all walking distance. I'd say overall, the hotel feels like a 3 star - although advertised as 2 stars. Reception staff are friendly and run a tight ship. Any issues we had were dealt with quickly. There is a quiet policy after 11pm, but that keeps everyone happy and no problems. The nightlife is extensive in the capital, so we had no problems being noisy elsewhere. We didn't see another stag group, but mainly couples and some families, but guests seemed to gel fine. We had a cracking weekend, and it was arranged by a UK company called stagmania. My manager was personable and knowledgable. I thought this hotel was a perfect choice and the groom+friends agreed. Clean, nice breakie, excellent twin and quad rooms available. Would stay again if on a budget or a party weekend.

Stayed for 1 night during a family tour of Europe. Its a well located 2 star hotel. I think it deserves near to 3 stars though. Staff are nice and helpful. i would stay again, for a recommend this as a good 2/3star hotel option. We were a family staying - if thats helpful to others. rgds, Simon
