Awful Hote
We went on holiday August 2108 which we were very disappointed with. We have spoken to the travel agents and it was only yesterday that they say they had a response which I think is appalling. This was our first holiday for a very long time and was an emotional holiday. We didn’t expect to have to complain, and there were a lot of complaints.
I DO EXPECT A REPLY FROM YOU SO DO NOT IGNORE THIS E-MAIL AS IT WOULD BE VERY RUDE.
Comments: We booked a holiday to Malta last week, but were disappointed with a number of things. We asked for a hotel in an area where there were shops and some night life, there was nothing. We had to pay 7 euros for housekeeping, on arrival at midnight
It should have been a triple room but was a double and a camp bed.
We had to ask for towels, toilet rolls, clean glasses , cups, there was no tea or coffee facilities even though there was a kettle, the sheets were not changed at all. The bath room was filthy damp and it flooded when we used the shower, the locked on the door broke we were told not to lock it. The inside pool and the sauna were closed. Every morning between 6.30am and 7am there was furniture being pushed around the rooms very close to us as they were decorating the rooms the noise was ridiculous. They were painting the walls around the outside pool ladders were everywhere, they carried them though reception and all over the hotel. The only thing we can say was that the staff very nice, especially the man who organised our trips, we needed to get out of the hotel as it was not what we were told it would be, but it would have been nice to have been able to use all the facilities in the hotel. As advertised. I paid a lot of money and I am really disappointed. I await your reply.
They have still not done anything or even replied.to all my e-mails

Lovely Hotel Must See For Yourself So Ignore All Bad Commets
I just got back from an all inclusive stay at the Bella vista hotel a few days ago. On arrival we were checked in to our rooms by the receptionist. She was very helpful and very professional. I wanted to call home and she provided me with a 5 euro phone card. when I couldn't work out how to use it she talked me through all the step and was very patient as the card was kind of self explanatory!!. during the first day and night we heard some banging going on, we were not sure if it was maintenance work. however we went down in see her fist thing in the morning and right away she offered us a room change! we were able to see the room before excepting it and gladly took it as not only was it really quite but the room was also bigger :0) when were due to checkout in the morning Caroline offered us a courtesy room for the evening to freshen up for our journey home.
The hotel was extremely clean and very well kept. our room was cleaned daily and clean towels provided daily. The house keeper/waitress was extremely helpful and genuinely a lovely person, she was our favourite person in the hotel... any problems she will help you with whatever it is. she is a credit to this hotel.
our bar maid Claire was very friendly and also helpful. I liked a particular drink and every time I went to order it I had trouble pronouncing it but she understood, even correcting other bar staff when they assumed I was asking for a different drink.
the food was really good. breakfast was the best meal of the day for me. a wide range of choices from fresh fruits to fresh breads and cakes. cooked breakfast was beans fried break, bacon, sausages, and a choice of cooked eggs which were sunny side up, scrambled or boiled. there are 2 coffee machines offering hot chocolate, a choice of coffees including lattes. there is also a fruit juice machine with offers the choice of orange, pineapple or apple juice. I only had lunch there once as we were out and about in the day time, but if you miss lunch you can always order at the bar snacks such as hamburgers, fries, toasted sandwiches, cakes etc. dinner had a great choice of foods. something for everyone.
This hotel provides great value for money and is short Bella vista hotel was lovely and I would return to this hotel again.
you get a choice of 2 bus's to the main town. you can get a 2 hr bus pass for 2 euro 20 , a pass for the day at 2 euro 60 or a weekly pass for 12 euro 60. also the hop on and hop off buses tourist bus can be caught right outside the hotel. there are also 2 other popular areas with beaches that are 10 minutes walking distance from the hotel. they even have the same shops as at home! Debenhams, Zara, habitat, bhs, next, Wallis, Dorothy Perkins, even a boots chemist!!
the locals in Malta were lovely, as a female travelling alone with my teenaged daughter we always felt 100% safe at all times. the country on a whole is worth a visit.
Worst Holiday Experiance Of Our Lives
Hotel reception staff were no help.We were B&B and were put into a SUITE? in the apartments up the hill,so had a walk to the hotel for breakfast.
Apartment was clean, with 4 single beds, table and chairs in kitchen area with fridge, microwave and sink. The 6 cupboards in the kitchen were empty, not a spoon or plate, looked like they were either going to be self-catering or had been at one time.We had taken a kettle ,cups and spoons as the hotel itinery said they could be hired.Asking other guests the charge for a kettle was 25euro and a deposit which you got back on return of the kettle, every thig was chargable. The tiny pool area was enclosed by 4 high walls so the sun only stayed for a few hours, with a hotel and apartments volume of about 140 guests there was only 30 sunbeds.Food was just OK???
Will not be going there again or recommend it to anyone else.

We Stayed At The Bella Vista Qawra For 6 Nights Wi
We stayed at the Bella Vista Qawra for 6 nights with 2 children under 5 yrs old,(half board), the staff were friendly enough but not very helpful, had to wait at least 20 minutes to find out children's menu and then was told chicken nuggetts and chips this is not a substantial meal for a child every night of the week. The Hotel was taken over by Italian students who ran riot and caused havoc for most of the time causing problems for the other hotel users, I would not recommend this Hotel to a friend or say it was a 4 star hotel as you have to pay extra for tea making facilities in your room and also use of hair dryer etc

We Have Recently Spent 10 Days At The Bella Vista,
We have recently spent 10 days at the Bella Vista, and would like to say how friendly and helpful the staff were, we were bed and breakfast only but ate there most evenings as well, always a good choice of food. Our room was clean and tidy, a lovely powerful shower, plus fridge in room the air conditioner worked well also. Only down side was there wasn't a view from the balcony, but we were told they would move us when a room became available the next day, but we stayed where we were...it was no big deal!
If we had read some of the reviews we probably would not have booked this but i'm sooo glad we did.

I Stayed In The Bella Vista Qawra Malta For 2 Week
I stayed in the Bella Vista Qawra Malta for 2 weeks from the 8th until the 22nd of june 2010. I thought it was great! Staff were very helpful and friendly, Hotel was clean and the food was great good variety to choose from there soups were very tasty! On my husbands birthday we got the hotel to make a cake at a graet price and they presented it to him with the happy birthbay song which was really nice of them. Also the hotel entertainment was great. My kids loved the pool area. The only thing this hotel could improve on is the rooms having a fridge we hired the cooler which wasnt any good didnt keep things cold at all, My sister has stayed in this hotel 3 times and keeps coming back. I will certainly be staying here again next time i visit malta. I really have nothing bad to say about this hotel i loved every minute of my stay here i will definitly be back next year.

This Is Must Be The Worst Hotel I Have Ever Stayed
This is must be the worst hotel i have ever stayed in. The management have a very bad attitude to the guest.Few of the staff are reliable, the food is of a low standard and the rooms are very poor.don't be fooled by the brochure or hotels on line video. If you go to this hotel and are not happy write a review. Also complain at the hotel to the rep and then on return home to the company you booked through and ask for compensation this is the only way things will be addressed and changed and stop hotels like this provide a bad service.Love Malta but this hotel spoiled our family holiday

We Had The Dubious Pleasure Of Being Guests At Bel
We had the dubious pleasure of being guests at Bella Vista Hotel for 3 weeks in January 2010. It was a cross between Prisoner in Cell Block H and a care home for the bewildered. A four star rating it certainly is NOT. Our bedroom was functional; balcony view over side alley but at least we didn't have the refuse bins as another guest had. The staff were pleasant & helpful but cost cutting was obvious in the restaurant - if you loved eggs and baked beans, breakfast was fine. Evening meals generally were very disappointing. The promotional write up by Mercury Direct borders on misrepresentation. Malta was great but avoid this hotel at all costs.

The Bella Vista Hotel Should Not, For Any Reason,
The Bella Vista Hotel should NOT, for any reason, be listed as a 4 star hotel. We were supposed to get a double room, which had two SINGLE beds. That proves very challenging for couples, since there is always a gap between the beds, even when put together.
Upon arrival, the room smelt strongly of cigarette smoke, which to us indicated that rooms are either not properly aired or cleaned by smoking personnel.
In an attempt to make our sleeping arrangements more comfortable, we lifted the mattresses once and were shocked to discover two pornographic magazines. This again goes to show the deplorable level of care when cleaning the rooms. Other evidence of the shortcomings was the unclean bathtub, the residues around the washbasin gutter, and the stain on one of the walls of a dead mosquito.
Bedding left a lot to be desired as well. Duvets had no covers and were stained. Bed covers had cigarette burns.
No toiletries were offered, and particularly, no drinking water, which had to be purchased from the local store. Normally, when tap water is not drinkable, as was indicated in this case by the sign over our leaky tap, water bottles are provided.
The issue with the water reminds me of the question of the real all-inclusiveness of the package. Crisps were not included in the package, which seems a bit ridiculous. Neither were maps of the area or some of the "games".
At this point I would like to address several of the reasons we think this hotel should not be a 4 star hotel. They advertise a "game room" that does not exist. Four slot machines and a pool table are not a game room, and certainly were not included in the all-inclusive, since they were all 50 cents a game. They also advertise a SPA, which is a jacuzzi left in a dark basement, with broken temperature controls. The pool is far from clean. They advertise internet, not included in the all-inclusive if you have no computer with you, that works only in two corners of the bar and the reception. There is none in the rooms.
Speaking of the food, the quality had some very low points. Breakfast was always the same: fried eggs, sausages, and beans. Cold meat and cheese was usually available. Bread had to be toasted on one extremely slow machine that would more often than not burn the bread. No fruit was offered, except for badly cut apples, which were kept god knows how long in water, to the point where some of the wedges were actually turning into puree. Juice was definitely watered down, because it had no substance at all. The rest of the meals were usually fine, if a little redundant, but tended to become quite cold in their containers. One could tell that some of the food had been recycled from the previous day.
The disposition in the restaurant was far from amicable. Tables had no real mantelpiece. Dishes were kept on stacks and one had often to discard two or three that still had stains from poor washing. The same happened with cutlery and glasses. Drinks were ordered after one came in and often took half a meal to arrive.
Finally, the personnel were far from friendly. With a few counted exceptions, staff displayed what seemed to have a merely tolerant attitude towards guests. Chambermaids were the worst of them all. They walked into rooms, opening with their own key without waiting for an answer from the inside. Beds were never made properly, and plates or glasses never collected. Greetings were mostly beyond them. Staff working at bars was rarely friendly and usually distracted. Several times drinks that weren't ordered were handed and exasperation was shown when the mistake was pointed out. On two occasions we witnessed complaints from other guests that were dismissed, only to be followed by a rapid exchange of looks, eye-rolling, and verbal diatribe between staff members.
i stayed at bella vista for five wks in jan/feb 2010. have to agree with other comments written such as 1)my room looked out onto the back door of the kitchen entrance so every morning i was woken by binmen, delivery men. staff arriving for work. Also one day i wasstanding on the balcony when a big rat ran round from the bin garage down the road!!also mysteriously toys kept appearing on the balcony?? I never complained about roland rat but wish i had it mite havegot me moved from a very cold, dismal room. Although food was boring, there was something you could eat to keep you going from day to day,but i spent quite lot of my spending money unnessarily in trollies supermarket, good job i brought my kettle and teabags or i would have died after first few days. The chambermaids were ok. to me as i do the job myself so felt an affinity to them having to clean 20 rooms a day for little money, making beds is a hard job!!!The entertainment was ok,guest karaoke was a laugh. The allin guests astonished me by drinking from 11am till close,2 men in particular were always the worst for wear!Imade friends with michelle the plate painting lady and nicki who ran the shop, they were very pleasant and helpful to me.Once i got used to the place i started to enjoy bugibba.Wasnt all bad for the money. tee.
