Koala Hotel Kolymbia Rhodes Don't Believe Bad Hotel Reviews!
September 2011 - The Koala Hotel Kolymbia Rhodes - defiantly does not deserve the bad reviews it has received . A great value hotel in a pretty little town on a wonderful island . 1000 Eucalyptus trees line the road and looking at them alone was incredible whilst we walked down the street everyday. Each one had its own character and the patterns & colours where the bark had come away were amazing.
We arrived in the early hours of the morning to be greeted by George, who took our passports, and briefly explained the all inclusive policy and minibus to the beach and directed us to our room.
The room was basic and dated, but spacious and clean, and was cleaned throughout our stay. The balcony had a couple of patio chairs and a table, and the bathroom had a WC, washbasin and small shower cubicle. The room was more than adequate.
Breakfast, consisted of cereal, yoghurt, toast, cheese, ham, fruit, cake, tomato and hot option of either beans, sausage, scrambled egg. Tea, coffee and juice to drink.
The pool was fantastic and had plenty of sun beds and umbrellas – drinks available from 11am
We looked forward to every meal and enjoyed every one there was plenty of choice to suit anyone loved every meal! Dining room staff were attentive and kept the food trays filled up and cleared tables quickly. Add to this afternoon tea and cake/biscuits, and I can't believe anyone could ever have been hungry here.
There was a daily free to and from the beach, There were also buses direct to Rhodes Town and Lindos which stopped outside the hotel
The town & beaches are about a 20 minute stroll from the hotel, and about 10 minutes to the first supermarket and bars.
Thanks to Liz and her staff for a memorable holiday
