Excellent Choice For Families

My husband & I stayed in this hotel 12 years ago and it has been extensively refurbished since then. This trip, we were with another couple who were visiting Greece for the first time.

We didn't find the hill down into the town too bad but there is always the shuttle bus or a taxi for those who require a bit of help. Lindos is a beautiful place & very romantic - weddings are held in the little church in St Paul's Bay and there were several during our stay, with the wedding parties staying in the hotel.

The hotel is in an ideal location and caters for all groups. The apartments were cleaned each day with fresh linen every couple of days. The menu was varied with food cooked and presented to a high standard. Lovely breakfast choices. Best of all was the cheerfulness of the staff. They work very hard and were consistently pleasant throughout our stay.

Everything we would want from a holiday was provided and we would definitely recommend this hotel to others.

The only down side was the WiFi, or rather, lack of it. It was supposed to be available in the Reception area but we failed to get connected at all during the week.

None of us are karaoke lovers so that wasn't to our taste but others seemed to enjoy it and it was on a couple of nights a week. The BBQ, held once a week, was excellent value for money and well worth participating in.

We Went To Lindos View In October 2009 And Had A F

We went to Lindos View in October 2009 and had a fantastic time. The apartment was very clean and very modern, much better than we'd expected. The staff were very helpful and friendly. We ate our first meal in the restaurant and asked to be seated on the balcony when we booked our table. I reccomend doing this, it's so romantic and the view of the Acropolis is beautiful. The food was excellent, we're both vegetarians but had no problem with a choice of interesting and tasty food. The Chef even made a special dish for us on the buffet night! The only thing to be aware of is the price of bar drinks, even cups of coffee at £3 each were expensive! Weather was warm enough at that time of year to go swimmimg in the sea. We highly reccommend Lindos View and will definitely be going back again.

Lindos View Is A Small But Friendly Place To Spend

Lindos View is a small but friendly place to spend your holiday. It is small enough to keep an eye on young children but large enough to not be crowded. A new addition to the accommodation is a rooftop (or covered - you choose) restaurant, the view across the village to the acropolis which is lit up by night again is spectacular and the food is just as good.

The price of your holiday includes a variety of entertainment which includes (for example) Greek dancing and music, karaoke and a comedian also for a small charge you can enjoy a Greek barbecue.

Other services are also available such as massage to laundry services (small charge). If you don't have it but want it the people at Lindos View will do their best to get it for you.

However it is not just the location that makes this the perfect place to relax and unwind there is the traditional village itself (10-15)minutes walk away, here you will find everything you could possibly want in a holiday with the exception of cars - donkeys only thank you. There are however taxis to ferry you around should you prefer.

The best bit of Lindos has to be the people, if you take five minutes of your time there are many who are only too happy to take the time to explain history or local tales to you.

Take a tip and learn at least your manners in Greek before you go, people will go to great lengths to help you here and 'efkaristo' (thank you) in return is greatly appreciated.

The local transport is very cheap and very reliable. A bus will always turn up and much of the east coast of the island can be explored in this way. Getting to Rhodes town and the water park (an absolute must for anyone of any age) is all really easy from here.

The beaches are fabulous and a trip on the glass bottom boat is not to be missed nor is a trip to the acropolis, but try to go early in the day as it gets real hot, also I believe it is closed on Mondays.

St Paul's bay is very small and has a beautiful church at the side perfect for anyone wishing to tie the knot!

In all it would be foolish not to visit Lindos at least once in a lifetime! In my opinion Lindos View is the perfect place to stay. We went and fell in love with the place and people and return as often as possible. If you go - I really hope you enjoy your stay.

Excellent Standard Of Accommodation (especially Fo

Excellent standard of accommodation (especially for Lindos where we've stayed many times). Rooms spotless clean, bar staff fantastic, great lunches and facilities.

Major downside this time however was that the Lindos View hotel now hosts wedding receptions (3 in our week) and the parties seem to take over the entire resort (evening functions in particular) even though many are actually non-resident.

The poolside, which in previous years has been a haven of peace and tranquility, was taken over by drunken youths (again non-resident) whose behaviour was appalling and their language disgusting. We are only in our late 30's and not prudish by any means but this is a family resort and many guests sat poolside (20's to 60's) were shocked by their behaviour. Despite complaints to the reception staff by residents they did nothing to stop it and it seemed that the hotel was more driven by bar takings than guest satisfaction (this group probably spent more in a day than the rest of the resort would spend in a week so a good financial strategy).

We've used the facilities at Lindos View many times over the years (finally staying with them this time) and this is the first time we've been subjected to this kind of behaviour. The Lindos View commands one of the best locations in the beautifically romantic village of Lindos and used to be a great and relaxing place to stay. Hopefully, it will rediscover this magic and get back to how it used to be. In the interim, would we recommend the resort ... On the strength of this week, probably not ... Very sad.

We too stayed at Lindos view early October 2005 having previously had a wonderfully peaceful holiday their in Summer 2001. We were bitterly disappointed with last years holiday as we too had to "put up" with noisy and disorderly wedding guests. The hotel staff seemed to turn a blind eye at the behaviour of these guests. We did not spend much time at the hotel as a result and sought peace and quiet down in the village. We will certainly NOT be returning.

Lindos View: We Travelled To Lindos In July O

Lindos View:

We travelled to Lindos in July of 2004, be warned the temperatures at this time of year can soar. as my skin soon discovered.

We travelled with Kosmar and although it was a basic aeroplane, the staff were more than helpful and the flights set off and arrived on time and were comfortable enough. The flight took a little over three hours.

The transfer time took about 40 minutes, the apartments are clean and fairly large even with three people in them. They are however a little basic and the air conditioning is not included in the price, it's about 100 euros for the week which we felt was a little expensive. the complex does benefit from having two swimming pools which is a real bonus, you don't have to get up early and fight over the sunloungers. It is defiantly one of the best apartment complexes in Lindos.

Lindos itself is a beautiful town, be sure to visit St Pauls Bay. its pure paradise, the walk down is fairly steep though. The streets are lined with restaurants, all of which are of a high standard and the food is excellent, the staff were always pleasant and the atmosphere always made you feel welcome.

The only reservation about Lindos is that the nightlife is a little limited, there are plenty of bars serving ever drink imaginable. However there are only a couple of small nightclubs. if your up for a lively holiday this isn't really the place. However we were all in our twenties and managed to have a fantastic unforgettable time.

If you're a family or couple looking for a relaxing holiday in an idyllic surrounding this is the place. Just make sure you take the sun tan lotion.
