Seriously, I Don't Know Where These Bad Reviews Ca

Seriously, I don't know where these bad reviews came from, utter bull! For the price we paid it was almost like we were stealing from them. Ignore all the player haters, it's the best!

Happy Days was the most friendly, lively and exciting place my friends and I could ever have wished to stay in.

The rooms were nice and clean, pretty basic, but you spend next to no time in the rooms as the pool area is so lovely.

You will never be bored at happy days with their super cheap fish bowls to get you in the mood for a hard session on the strip. The BBQ and fancy dress nights are not to be missed; pure entertainment!

The food is perfect to cure a hangover or get you fighting fit for another night on the town. Which brings me to happy days' awesome location, not too far form the beach and very close to the strip and supermarkets.

Finally I'd just like to say how amazing all the staff are. So warm and inviting, they will do anything to make you smile and have fun.

So a massive thank you to all the Happy Days Crew for making my Malia experience better than I ever could have hoped for.

I couldn't recommend it enough, I will definitely be heading back there to make some more memories!

Love you Happy Days!!!

Do Not Stay Here!!! Far From Happy Days. I Re

DO NOT STAY HERE!!! FAR FROM HAPPY DAYS.

I returned from Malia yesterday (7th July 2010) where I had been staying at Happy Days. Everything about this place is far from happy except when you are giving them money. For starters there are cockroaches all over the place, the first one I found was under my friends pillow! The staff are terrible and care only for taking your money not your enjoyment. On my first day I saw the owners son, Chris (the enforcer) man handle his young children in a highly unacceptable way in front of everybody around the bar and pool. His aggression was sustained throughout the week when he later pushed and slapped a female friend of mine who was visiting from another hotel then assaulting a male friend (who was staying at Happy Days) of mine with punches and headlocks in a locked room, with the help of his father. All started because my friend told Chris he did not know where the girl which he previously assaulted had gone, he was also kicked out of the hotel for this tiny lie. When he had gone I was told it was best for him to leave Crete on the next flight home as it was not safe for him to be there as Chris had close ties with the local mafia!!!

Later that evening another of my friends was told to talk to Chris and his friend who had just arrived on a moped, all that was said to my friend was 'Do you want to fight this man? He is Albanian, and you know what Albanians are like'Not what you expect to hear because you stick up for an 18 year old girl who was pushed and slapped by a 30 something year old man.

These problems aside the men working at the hotel were complete perverts to any girl they saw or had contact with, being sexually suggestive even in front of their wives and children. The men working at Happy Days do have no respect for women (probably as they were brought up like that but not what is expected when paying to stay at a hotel).

Our rooms were never cleaned and only once were we given clean sheets but no towels, and the rooms and especially bathrooms were terrible; one of my friends toilets never flushed for the whole week! No alternative was offered.

Terrible accommodation, horrible people, shabby pool/bar area, the food was the worst I ate all week, every minute spent there was in fear of a fine or eviction. It is a 30-40 minute walk to the beach and 15-20 from the strip despite what it says on theirs and other websites.

An open prison is the best description that I can give of 'Happy Days' and I strongly advise anybody looking at this hotel to consider the Sarpidon Hotel which is 3 minutes walk and a much nicer place where some of my other friends were staying, however do your own review checking because I only visited twice so don't know to the full extent what it is like. If you can afford it the Philoxenia hotel is 1000x better than Happy Days but really not much more expensive and any extra cost is worth paying as it will make your holiday much more enjoyable. They are welcoming to people not staying there, food is excellent, staff are great fun, fantastic pool and bars and only 10 minutes walk from the beach.

Your trip will be made much worse by staying at Happy Days, if you have already booked I would recommend canceling, getting what ever money you can back and booking one of the above, if they are full just find a different hotel. DO NOT STAY AT HAPPY DAYS!!!!!!!!!!!!

If Your Looking For Somewhere Fun To Stay Do Not

If your looking for somewhere fun to stay DO NOT stay here.

The website suggests a fun crazy memorable holiday... yes it was memorable, but for all the wrong reasons.

1. Website describe Happy Days Apartments as a partying holiday, on the first night we were told to be quiet at 10, when it clearly states on the notices in each room 12... (so much for a partying holiday)

2. Following morning at 9:00 o'clock in the morning, get a phone call from reception calling the 6 of us downstairs for a 'chat'! We get downstairs and 'apparently' there had been a complaint from one of the guests about the noise. The woman working there told us the noise level was too loud, when we asked her when this was she couldn't tell us even though we had left for town by 12. She just told us to keep the noise down. As soon as we get upstairs, the owner shouts us downstairs again. Shouting 'GET YOUR STUFF YOUR OUT OUT OUT, WHO DO YOU THINK YOU ARE? AND WHY HAVE YOU COME HERE'.

3. So the woman comes back and 'says' the owner is very angry and if you show him you won't do it again (which we did nothing) by each of you paying him, then you can stay. 60euros later we were allowed to stay (GOOD COP BAD COP ROUTINE WHICH WE SAW MANY TIME AGAIN )

Later on spoke to the man who supposedly complained about the nosie, he knew nothing about it and both him and his wife laughed and said they didn't hear anything - scamming to get you out of money.

Spoke to numerous guests who were there at the same time, nearly all of them had been threatened to be kicked out unless they gave over more money. Most people couldn't wait to leave. The only times the workers were ever nice to you was trying to get you to buy overpriced drinks which were watered down at the bar.

Also we witnesses people being paid to write a good review with the workers and manager looking over their shoulder.

When coming back from town even if your just talking to another person your with you get a warning. They will try to con you out of more money by removing some of the cutlery, bowls or glasses! Check your rooms thoroughly when you get there, they tried to say we broke the mirror and the fridge which were both already broken

NEVER STAY HERE

Happy Days Or Shall I Say Sad Days..definetly Sad

Happy Days or shall I say Sad Days..definetly sad days, when we first got to sad days for our two week stay it seemed like a nice hotel run by decent people ..but gradually mainly the bartenders and the owners turned into complete malakas you cant drink with friends past nine you cant ask girls at the bar if they would like to come for a drink(your likly to get a punch in the face ,which i happened),generally cant have fun its like living with your horrible b@stard greek parents. In short i shall never be going back to sad days and i know at least 10 of my friends who also stayed at sad days would agree.

Happydays Is A Terrible Place To Stay! The Maids

Happydays is a terrible place to stay! the maids change and clean your room once a week only, the place can easily be broken into and robbed, we were asked to pack our bags for making a little noise in early hours of the morning returning from the strip, we said 'no, being malia people are bound to make noise and we were not the only ones' they then said fine we will charge you 20euros to learn your lesson!

if you get the bed sheets a little dirty they will fine you 10 euro, so what is the point in taking them to clean? we also got dirty sheets back which were ment to be clean but had staines on!

everyone is told to leave their balcondy and get into their rooms at 11pm if your talking aboive their volume level, even though they have music playin!

this place is terrible, is also far from the strip and is where you can easily get robbed by greeks walking back!

I Am Never Ever, Going Back To This Horrible Place

I am NEVER EVER, Going back to this horrible place again, after my first night there we were robbed, we had no cash wat so ever, I had to have a friend back in the UK bail us out, on the second night the battered key fell to pieces so we could not use it for electricity in the appartment. My girlfriend cut her foot open on glass that was lying around the pool. Then on the third night i was assaulted by the hotel manager and then punched by his son, because i complained about the key and didnt have 50 euros to replace it, we called the police but they never came. spent the remaining 4 days locked in our room.

Very Helpful Staff, Good Atmosphere Around The Poo

Very helpful staff, good atmosphere around the pool and in the bar. Was our second visit, and would go again.......Malia is awesome and there is no need to find other accommodation considering the welcome you receive there!! BBQ night is a winner, and a good way to get to know other guests! If you treat the staff and locals with respect they will go out of their way to help you enjoy your stay!! PEACE

We Stayed A Week And There Were More Than 4 Groups

We stayed a week and there were more than 4 groups robbed, no forced entry into appartments, the police never called out. Everything was overpriced, drinks, food, air conditioning, as for self catering forget it, they even put a menue on the wall in the kitchen area! We were't allowed to drink or eat our own food by the pools either. The Rep we dealt with was rude, as were most of the staff, we would never go back there.

The Bar Staff Are Terrible. The Maids Are Rubbish

The bar staff are terrible. The maids are rubbish too, they only change your sheets once a week, but come into your room every couple of days, to do no more that look at you in disgust if you're rooms a bit of a mess and generally make as much noise as they can, don't get me wrong Malia is brilliant, and all the guests at happy days were wicked, but we all agreed, happy days is a dump. I would never go back. I have stayed in a lot of crap places in my time, but happy days is the worst, pay extra and go somewhere that the staff don't treat you like you're in a brownie camp!!!!
