Disgusting You Have Been Forewarned.

Don't go here. We were given two rooms that were like sheds. Overlooking a goat shed that stank of goat poo. No pillows on beds. Just two brown stained one in cupboard and one in other room no pillow case. Absolutely filthy reception with one young man who could not help anyone on the 16th when we arrived. More than 50 metres to sea. One door had a gap of an inch when shut. We were overlooking directly on a road at the front. Did not feel safe. As for the food and drink, very limited in both if you can get any! Before the mad rush ! We only half a meal and one drink before we left.

The adverts for this dump are misleading by holiday companies. The place should be condemned! It looked like a small hotel in adverts but in reality, it was a huge multi hotel complex. At least 400 rooms

We booked with Love Holidays ... It is no holiday, we left the Fereniki immediately, and paid anther 600 euros to stay in the Nirvana apartments which were clean and up to expectations. It cost us even more to eat out but it was worth it. Some people we met staying at the Fereniki could not afford to move out and were very very very disappointed with their holiday accommodation. It is poo hole and that is being polite!

Avoid This Hotel

IF you enjoy standing in line for everything then you may enjoy this poor poor hotel. The reception is small but made to feel even smaller by the mass of people standing around to complain, the reason is obvious there is a distinct lack of investment. We were shown 6 rooms, 1st occupied, 2nd double bed, 3rd cracked glass in door and poor outlook ,overlooking weeds, 4th we stayed in for two nights, air con not working so mossies had good feed, 5th small room no space between beds, 6th was a family room but bath and shower both resulted in flooded bathroom.

Staff are friendly but they cannot make up for the lack of investment or the long queues at meal times or the long queue at the bar, usually only one serving.

the location of the hotel is good but taken overall i would advise everyone to look elsewhere for accommodation.

personally i could not eat the meat as it was mostly fat, salads are tasty but be aware that there is little actually made at Fereniki as we witnessed all the food being delivered every morning, so at best it is heated at the hotel.

All inclusive is poor beer, ouzo, and raki along with soft drinks, unusual for a Greek hotel to run out of ouzo but it happened more than once.

The transfer from Heraklion is 2 1/2 hours and after a long trip to find this hotel it doesnt do much for your mood.

YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!

The Location Is Very Good, Almost On The Beach. I

The location is very good, almost on the beach. I spent a week with my boyfriend .I really enjoy the Greek hospitality in Fereniki Resort and Spa .I booked a halfboard and i really like the food of the dinner very much. The staff are very friendly and the swimming pools are great.Hotel and beach was great. Breakfast has plenty of choice. Staff is very friendly and accommodating. Spa located near at the pool in the hotel is very good, but unfortunately very busy, I only managed to get a nice massage with chocolate . Great long Beach is located the hotel and the, lots of good restaurants nearby and cafes.Good hotel, great breakfast and good location

Our Stay At Fereniki Resort Was Pefect - Very Quie

Our stay at Fereniki Resort was pefect - very quiet, clean, friendly and in a great location.

The location was perfect in the front of so long beach.

Also, we were really satisfied with the rooms, the delicious breakfast, and the location (close to a lot of good restaurants). The only regret I felt, was not being able to stay just a little bit more!!!

I would recommend Hotel Fereniki to my family too .

Staff Is Very Friendly, Rooms Clean And Well Equip

Staff is very friendly, rooms clean and well equipped.

Beach is sandy and very clean. Food was good, but too repetitive when you stay more than a week. And, it's big hotel, with 4 pools and indoor pool in the Spa with jacuzzi/massage/sauna.

The staff -reception, cleaning ladies, pool bar and restaurant- was extremely welcoming, kind and helpful.

The room was immaculately cleaned daily and nice designs made of the towels were left on the bed.

This Was Our 19th Year In The Resort, We Did A Las

This was our 19th year in the resort, we did a last minute booking for flights and accomodation, we had stayed at the Fereniki before on three occasions and were happy although was a bit put off by the reports we had read. Unless you pay top price you always have a few problems in Crete. We asked for sea view and not ground floor. We got both. Loads of hot water morning and at night. Self catering was a bit basic but it always has been in other hotels. reception was very helpful Never had a problem with cleaning, not eaten or used the pool so cannot comment. Loads of places to eat and drink and will be back again next year we hope. OK so you cannot put paper down the toilets, where can you in Crete? We cannot get flights from England to Chania and have to travel from Heraklion (Hour and a bit in taxi) It's worth it.

I Caught Up In The Xl Saga And 35 Euros Cash Was D

I caught up in the XL saga and 35 euros cash was demanded for each day of the remander of our holiday. If like other hoteliers they had accepted credit cards and were more accommodating then this review would not have been so harsh.

We Stayed At The Fereniki Complex In Georgioupolis

We stayed at the Fereniki Complex in Georgioupolis. The holiday to Crete as a whole was very disappointing throughout and has put me and my partner off Greece for a long time. The experience we had was not really what you want for your one holiday a year. The room was small, but liveable but the bathroom was bordering disgusting. The drain system never worked, after a shower you would get out and be stood in 4 inches of water, which was cold water at that as we had only one day of hot water. Anyone planning an all inclusive holiday to this complex must be prepared to accept that they will lose money and that it is really more like half board basis and not a good one at that.
