5th September 2011 What A Dump

On September 5th my wife and I went on to one of your holiday complexes, Angelik apartments and pool in the vicinity of Sadari Corfu Greece.

From the beginning of our holiday at this apartment complex there was issues.

• My wife asked for a menu from the bar within 4 hours of arrival, at which the person stated “No food “and promptly removed all menus from the bar. This after being informed by your representative of the services at the accommodation.

• The following night my wife stood at the bar with 5 euro’s in her hand and asked for a cup of tea and was ignored.

• The swimming pool had pond life, you could not see the bottom and had not been cleaned for some time, later confirmed by other guests that nothing had been done for 2 weeks at that time.

• The people running the complex were heard having a very loud domestic issue at sometime after midnight with screams and the appearance of some violence on their children and wife the following morning.

• The bar man offered free drinks to teenage girls for sexual favours

• People could see in an hour of arrival that something was wrong and promptly left. So why could not you’re reps cotton on there was a problem and made some sort of an effort to inform us of any progress, or couldn’t they be bothered just like the owner of the complex.

So taking these issues into account I did not relish the idea of vacating my apartment for my flight home at midday and waiting in these conditions for my flight home at 13:00 hrs on the Tuesday morning, taking into account that I was informed by your representative that there was no courtesy facilities to store luggage, 14 hrs in this pigsty is unacceptable.

We were offered, and took the option, along with other disgusted travellers to take the offer to move to the Natali due to loss of facilities.

When we arrived we felt this is how it should be, with a proper reception and bar, a lovely pool and clean facilities, however this was marred by the fact that we were in effect dumped by your reps,

Because when it came to the end of our holiday, taking into account we were supposed to vacate at midday, there was nowhere to leave our suitcases as the bar was locked and shut. We felt this would be open at about 8 in the evening, as it had been the previous night, but No.

When myself and my wife returned at 21:30, taking our valuables with us all day and leaving our suitcases near the bar area, we found the place in total darkness and anything vaguely resembling customer service none existent. We sat in darkness until 13:15 waiting for a coach with fellow travellers with children in the dark.

What the hell is wrong with you people do you not understand basic customer service.

Yours Truly

P Vincent

A disgusted customer of Olympic holidays.

Just Arrived Back From Our Holiday To Sidari Where

Just arrived back from our holiday to Sidari where we stayed at the Angeliki apts+maisonettes, On arrival your first sights are the pool and bar area... Absolutely stunning and greeted so lovely by the owner Stellios and was then shown to where we were to stay thinking it would only be an apartment we was very pleasantly suprised to have our own little Maisonette.

Very spacious upstairs bedroom and downstairs kitchen and dinning area then the bathroom and downstairs bedroom which leads out to the terraced area.

There is self catering facilities (only problem we found no toaster or kettle! so had to boil water in pans) that was the only downside to the place.

Back to the bar area and pool it is lovely kept very clean and tidy and Stellios the owner and Renild the bar man make your stay!!! they are lovely and the measurements..... Well put it this way you pay 3 Euros for malibu and coke (for instance) and the size of the measurement is about a tripple in english measures!!!

Also Renild loves plying the guests with his free shots!!

Its about 5mins walk to beach front which leads to the strip of all bars restruants and shops about 8mins in total.

If anyone has any questions about the place and wants truthful answers i'll be happy to help just email me at [email protected] I can help you out with where to go how to get there and price list also I have lots of photos of the place but cant upload them to this site so I cant forward them to you by email x x x

I Went With A Friend, It Was Our First Holiday Tog

I went with a friend, it was our first holiday together and had a brilliant time. The maisonettes are 2* so you get what you pay for which is where I don't understand why people complain about it. We got a 4 bed room for just 2 of us. No the room wasn't cleaned on a daily basis but we were hardly ever there to get it dirty. The owners are lovely and friendly, the barman was brilliant and the atmosphere at the bar was great! The reps at Olympic weren't that good, we booked a boat trip in Corfu town but wasn't told we'd be stuck there for 6 hours! There was no way back so we had to kill time and it wasted a day of our holiday. The coach ride from and to the airport was the scariest experience of our lives...you'll understand if you go! Conclusion: Great holiday, will be going back but just a little more prepared next time.

My Mother And I Stayed For 7 Days At Angeliki Apar

My mother and i stayed for 7 days at Angeliki apartments in august 2010. They were supposedly self-catering apartments, but there were no appliances too self cater with, other than a small ancient fridge and a cooking stove. There was no oven, kettle or even a toaster. There was no tin opener either. The rooms were supposed to be cleaned daily. Ours was not. One roll of toilet paper was supplied in our weeks stay, and when we asked for some more, and also for a kettle as my mother needs a hot water bottle for her stomach complaint, we were greeted by hostility from the owner. We later asked him to phone a taxi for us, to which he rolled his eyes and uttered yes. The apartments were in the middle of nowhere and i would rather camp in a tent on the beach than stay here again.

Angeliki Apartments Are An Ideal Place To Stay. Wi

Angeliki apartments are an ideal place to stay. within easy strolling distance to many taverans and the main street of sidari, where there is a great variety of night life. Angeliki is set in lovely peaceful grounds offering shady areas as well as great sunbeds for tanning and relaxing by the pool. the apartments are typically greek, and the owners, stellious and nicky are very lovely, friendly, caring people. we have just come back from our second year staying with them, and are now saving to go back next year 2010. To get to the beach and the first bar, resurant you walk across a field (3-4 min stroll) past a friendly donkey that everyone wants to pamper. The bar at angeliki offers good food in the day time, and is open to the late hours at night time. Renield is there to serve you drinks and look after your needs.

Stayed At Angeliki Last Week In June .loved It!! V

Stayed at Angeliki last week in June .Loved it!! very basic accomodation but clean and well serviced. The pool is spotless and the gardens peaceful. Although there is a bit of a walk into Sidari who would want to be any closer? Highly recomend N.S.K Travel in Sidari for all excursions and car hire (they were brilliant). Overall the island is stunningly beautiful, boat trip to Ericousa is a must and The Elysee Taverna was exelent value. Would go back again but not in high season ,its very hot , mosquitos could be a mojor problem and it gets very busy . Love Corfu!!

With The Angeliki You Get Really What You Pay For,

With the Angeliki you get really what you pay for, the accommodation is basic but clean and because these are apartments and not hotel rooms there isn't a hotel lobby phone or any other luxuries.

What you do get is genuine hospitality from the Greek owners and a feeling of friendship. The apartments are just outside of Sidari itself but having found the short cut (the locals will help)you find that the walk into Sidari town takes only about 10 minutes, I rate the Angeliki apartments so well that I will be returning this year.

As a general moan I found the endless cockney Geordie and scouse voices trying to drag me into pubs and clubs along the main street very annoying but got around this by ignoring and doing my own thing. There are some really nice places to eat out in Sidari and I would recommend the Olympic very highly.
