Please Avoid At All Costs
Had an issue collecting the vehicle from the provider and they would not refund the money as they mentioned StressFreeCarRentals held the money. Tried to contact Customer Service and they could not have been less helpful.
Your only method is email, and i made contact with someone who struggled to write English. They had no interest in helping, and did not answer any questions i put to them. I have emailed their head office and also got zero reply.
This organisation are bad merchants. If it all goes smoothly you will be okay, but if any problems you have zero chance of remedy.I was ripped off over $750 AUD. Received no vehicle, and got no help from stress free, who kept all of the money.

Worst Car Rental Experience Ever!
We were unexpectedly and forcefully charged €280 for additional coverage by Goldcar in Marseille, despite receiving confirmation that no extra fees would apply. They offered an alternative of a refundable €1,540, but with a ridiculous 10% fee upfront and another 10% when they refund. We can’t even figure out how they calculate these amounts!
We had already paid £250 for the reservation, and the staff initially told us that was all we needed to pay. After researching, I discovered that many others have experienced the same issue with this company.
I will never use this service again, and as a third-party provider, they should reconsider recommending Goldcar as a business partner.

Stressfreecar Rental Should Be Avoided At All Cost
We used them for the first time in July 2024 for car hire in Bordeaux - we paid an extra £100 for an out of hours car pick up, only to turn up to a closed office. Goldcar claim that they don't offer out of hours pick up so looks like stressfree car rental are running a sham to take your money with no intention of you getting your booking. With no phone number to call and the chat bot unhelpful, we had to pay for a night in an airport hotel and a brand new car booking (the original booking expires six hours after pick up which was when the office was closed) so now we're out of pocket over £1000 because of this company. It is worth noting that goldcar do not get paid unless the booking is fulfilled which means stressfree have taken our money for profit without paying goldcar for the rental - that is most certainly not' Treating Customers Fairly'. We've been trying to get it resolved amicably with them for the past month but they are refusing to do anything at all to help. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!!
Received Car In Completely Different Category Than Booked
I booked a Skoda Kamiq or similar SUV from Stressfree car rental, to be fulfilled by Viaggiare at Catania airport, Sicily. On arrival I was presented with a Ford Tourneo, which is a van with seats, and definitely not an SUV. When I queried this with Viaggiare I was told that they were the same category. Faced with a 2 hour drive to our destination, and a small child and disabled person in our party we had little option but to take the van. When you’re choosing a hire car online they are listed in several different categories, and nowhere could I find passenger vans & SUV’s in the same category. On raising this with Stressfree car rental I was told that Viaggiare do class SUV’s and vans as part of the same fleet and that they’d thus fulfilled the contract. This may be the case technically, and I expect it’s detailed in the small print somewhere, but it makes a mockery of the selection process: effectively, whatever type of vehicle you think you’re booking, what you actually collect can be a random choice from what’s available when you arrive. It's ironic that booking with Stressfree Car Rental resulted in an extremely stressful encounter at Catania.

I thought the companies registered within skyscanner was reliable,trustable but with my experience it was absolutely the opposite.I booked a car hire through skyscanner ,under them agency named stressfreecar rental {what a wrong name,should be stresfull car rental} to collect the car from Izmir airport.The car provider was called T-rent car rental. First of all it was not at the airport .They took me to somewhere far from the airport after long flight in heat.T-rent claimed they were not able to collect deposit from Visa Credit Card and they blamed me having wrong card {I rented cars from various places in the world with same card with no problem at all.it has £5000 limit}But he said if I paid extra money for insurance it would be ok .And he gave the price for 3 times the value of car rental itself.I argued it saying its not reasonable at all and he should be able to take deposit{i dont have to buy insurance from them btw} and also showed him I already bought insurance from stressfree car rental .He rejected and cancelled my booking adding that it would be easy to rent the car anyway to someone else that time as it was holiday time in Turkey with very high demand.He basically didnt want to give me the car with preagreed price and tried to get more money{kind of rip off} in different ways claiming fake reasons and rejecting valid credit card for deposit.So its cancelled.I ended up with no car ,in the middle of nowhere ,with 38 degree.I emailed Stressfree car rental the same evening ,explaining what happened and claimed my money back as I was unreasonably rejected by their providers.They asked my credit card details,I gave them .They were incompetent to say the card is ok but they said they raise the case against provider..10 days since then ,no result nor any money refunded. So I am totally unhappy with stressfree car rental and their provider T-rent car rental,not only because I paid £52 in total and had no service at all but also suffered that they being left without a car in the middle of nowhere ,in addition to not being able to finalise my plans I made with the car.Totally terrible experience and I dont know how Skyscanner works with companies like stressfree car rental or T-rent car rental .I wouldnt rent a car through Stressfree car rental for sure

Stressfreecarrental has initially confirmed with me that my rental booking had CDW included, only to receive an email 4 weeks later (3 weeks before my trip) that I was not covered.
This cost me an additional $250 to purchase from a 3rd party. Very unprofessional.

HIDDEN CHARGES - Unreliable and Untrustworthy
If you want extra stress then use this garbage company.
We booked a car via this broker with Green Motion. When I got to Green Motion I was told that I needed to have a physical mastercard credit card (not debit) card to book for the price I HAD ALREADY PAID IN ADVANCE FOR ON THE SITE, in case of excess damage.
Because I didn't have a visa or mastercard credit card (only AMEX) they would not allow me to take the car at the price I HAD ALREADY PAID FOR.
Green Motion then told me that they COULD accept my VISA DEBIT card however I had to use a "PREMIUM PACKAGE" to book the car with my debit card.
This meant that instead of hiring the car for £43 WHICH I HAD ALREADY PAID IN ADVANCE - I was quoted £175
I was basically quoted four times the price for the privilege of using my debit card.
I then asked if I could come back with my mastercard credit card which I didn't have with me and they told me that this was not possible as someone else may require the vehicle - Even though I had already booked it and paid for it for the next 3 days?
I reached out to support multiple times and they told me that at the bottom of the terms and conditions there is a small bullet point which says the car rental company may require a mastercard or visa credit card and no refunds are given if you are refused car rental.
So in summary, thanks for shafting me Stressfreecarrental and Green Motion and hiding this important bullet point at the bottom of your T&Cs which we all have time to ready in your long winded email and website.
Funny how this is not mentioned at the time of booking - You only quote the price? Which is a bucket of BULL, because its not the price that you get unless you bring the right cards which I assume maybe 60% of the time and the rest of your customers then have no option but to be extorted at four times your quoted price.
Dodgy company, clearly only out to make a quick buck and don't give a damn about customer service or experience.
Last time I will use your rubbish service.

'stressfreecarrental' are quite the opposite. they sold us an insurance policy that was not valid and refused to reimburse us. i have bever experienced such appalling customer service. DO NOT USE
