Read All Tabs Click On More Info And You Will Like It Too

I have rented through Do You Italy at the Venice airport several times. 3 times with the vendor Viaggiare Rent at the aiport and once with a shuttle vendor off the airport. Overall my experience was good. After my first time the representative explained to me the insurance booking online versus booking from them at the desk. Which now I choose to decline online and book once I pick up the car directly from the vendor. The more info radio button will give you excat information on what the company you selected will accept and what they will cover and where you can take the vehicle (other countries). I have seen the bad reviews and can only again say that booking with Do You Italy for the Venice airport was not a bad experience. The only inconvinience I would point out is that you have to walk to the parking lot section P6 to pick up that does requier outdoor walking in any type of weahter but it is not a bad walk. I suggest if you have luggage and you are more then one party to leave your party and the luggage at the terminal and pick them up once you get the car. You will not be charged for a quick pick up. Overall the website itself does give you all the information you need the choice is yours. Now the individual vendor and bad customer service is not Do You Italy but the vendor and the location not the webservice.

Won't Pay Back My Deposit

I booked a hire car to collect at Venice after paying an initial deposit online. I had a small balance to pay at the desk of around 50 Euros but was advised at the desk to pay more and protect myself in case of an accident, which I did. I paid 160 Euros and was told that I would get 90 Euros back after returning home. Two months later, several email requests and I get absolutely nothing back from them. Disgusted. The 70 Euro rental price has ended up being 180 Euros. Avoid like the plague

Worst Rental Car Company Ever

Rented a car from their website. Went later that day to pick up the car and they said that I needed a credit card- which I didn't have- only on my Apple wallet. They then said they could not refund me for the car since I had already booked it for 10 days. Took my US$450 and give me nothing except a huge headache.

Terrible Experience - No Customer Support

I booked a car through DoYouItaly, but mistakenly provided the wrong email address during the reservation process. I tried contacting their customer service multiple times to get my booking confirmation, but after three weeks, I still hadn't received any response. I also attempted to cancel the reservation, but once again, there was no reply from their support team. As a result, I couldn't rent the car. I had prepaid around 45 euros, which I have not been able to recover despite my efforts to contact them. I strongly advise against using this site—there is absolutely no customer support. It's a perfect way to lose your money and time. I do not recommend it to anyone.

Unreliable And Untrustworthy Service – Avoid Doyouitaly

We had an incredibly frustrating experience with DoYouItaly that ruined a significant part of our trip. After our EasyJet flight was cancelled, we had to scramble to make alternative travel arrangements, including trying to secure our pre-paid rental car. Despite calling DoYouItaly multiple times from the airport and holding for over an hour in total, we couldn’t get through to anyone. When we finally arrived at the Hertz counter, we were shocked to find out that our reservation had been cancelled simply because we didn’t pick up the car at the exact time, despite our attempts to notify them of the delay.

The worst part was the complete lack of empathy from DoYouItaly’s customer service. We explained that we had three young children with us who had been travelling for over 24 hours, but their representative was utterly unhelpful and refused to reinstate our booking. As a result, we were forced to rent a new car at a much higher rate, costing us an additional €679.20. To add insult to injury, DoYouItaly refused to refund our original payment, leaving us out of pocket for the entire amount.

This company is unreliable, and their customer service is non-existent. They kept our money without providing the service we paid for, and we ended up having to pay even more for a last-minute rental. I strongly recommend avoiding DoYouItaly—save yourself the stress and choose a more reliable rental service.

Awful And Very Dishonest Company. Never Use Them!

Awful and very dishonest company. NEVER use them! They took 247,48 € from me. ITALY CAR RENT (very dishonest too) refused to take my french driving license and DOYOUITALY kept my money and refused to refund me! I’ll have to block my card at my bank to have my money back and use my lawyer.

Their customer service is not helpful at all as well and despise you. No car delivered, taken from them and they ruined my holiday. Europcar accepted it which proves they lie and used to take from people. I don’t recommend them at all. TERRIBLE experience.

Suspicious! Are Doyouitaly In On It?

I recently booked a hire car with DoYouItaly for a family visit, to collect from Napoli airport. Here is my summary of events:

1. Car booked for 1 week at approx £300

2. Excess waiver insurance booked for approx £35

3. On arrival SurPrice told me they had no car for me and that they had told the broker 'DoYouItaly' of a shortage of cars months ago.

4. They told me my UK driving licence was not adequate and I needed an International Driving Permit (I had already researched on .gov.uk and this is not the case for Italy. Surprise said it was a post Brexit thing

5. Now given they had no car and I didn't have the right permits - they said I could have this other car but only if I took their insurance, I said I have insurance etc. they rambled on about being stopped by the police without an IDP, scratches to the car etc. then finished by saying 'It's MY car and you can't have it without MY insurance'

6. So I was left with no choice other than pay the insurance fee of approx £300

Are they both in on this?

I contacted DoYouItaly as soon as I arrived at my destination and have heard nothing, which makes me think 'Are they in on this?' Which is why they can advertise such low prices.

My advice would be to stick to the main players and avoid using such brokers.

Review Of Doyouitaly - Doyouitaly

Our holiday was a last minute decision, so we quickly rented a car. Via Do You Italy because we thought large company = reliable. Do you Italy is of course only an agent/broker, but you pay for the car to Do You Italy and ultimately they are responsible for the rental. Long story short: we rented a car through Do You Italy + took out an extra full insurance and ultimately chose OK Mobility for the car. Once we arrived at OK Mobility, OK Mobility refused to give us the paid for car, the reason being: the credit card only contains initials and no first names. She also refused the insurance we already had, didn't even want to see or read it. Their solution: pay 350 euros for another insurance otherwise no car. And 100 euros deposit for a full tank (they gave us a car with an empty tank)a. I'll leave out all the details of how we - and other couples - were treated (the word disrespectful is too mild for that), we had no choice. We paid and received a car with an empty tank (!) and broken, leaking air conditioning, driving for 12 days with wet feet (passenger's foot bath) We were not the only ones with this problem, we and a few couples had nowhere to go. We all called Do You Italy, was on hold for a very long time. Three of us hung up, and one of us was told that if this is stated in the terms and conditions of OK Mobility, then we should have read better in advance. The problem is that: - the hassle with the credit card and the initials is a well-known sham to force people to take out separate insurance,  Inquiry with the credit card company (both Visa and Mastercard) shows that companies are obliged to accept a credit card with your initials. All credit cards in the Netherlands only have initials. They are not allowed to refuse - Do You Italy takes no responsibility for this practice, and hides behind the small print of conditions of a rental company that are not legally valid - Do You Italy should know that OK Mobility is a rogue company, the Internet is full of the same stories as what happened to us and yet they continue to offer this party. Not their problem because Do You Italy still gets its money. And this is really downright scandalous We will file a complaint with both parties and report to ECC Netherlands

Terrible

I rented a car in Rome with them and when I arrived the agency that works with doyouitaly (surprice rent a car) was a sham. You can look at the comments, all negative. I couldn't rent the car and I lost the money. I called doyouitaly customer service and they are not responsible for anything and they haven't returned my money. BE VERY CAREFUL and avoid booking with them.
