Lycian Cost V-GO

We took the trip from Fethiye to Olympus for four days during our three-week honeymoon. I have to say, this was the best and most memorable part of the trip and I would recommend it to anyone!

I was surprised at the facilities they had on board, although don't expect incredibly high-end. The cabins were very nice, with personal washrooms and storage space. However, don't expect to be spending too much time there. We slept each night on the deck, where they provided beds and we could watch the stars. The food was surprisingly fresh and good - I can't get over how delicious tomatoes and olives in Turkey are, and they always had some " ai" on board for evenings of playing board games. The crew was also amazing and fun.

The trip was very relaxing - we spent most of it lying in the sun, dipping into the incredibly blue waters to cool off, and playing backgammon - what paradise! We stopped at a few places to explore small fishing villages, beaches, breathtaking coves and old castles ruins. We also swam through a so-called pirates cave. We would park the boat in these amazingly scenic coves, where small boats would come up and sell ice cream and crepes, and you could jet-ski if you so desired. On the last night, a shuttle boat picked us up and took us over to a bar hidden away in a cove, where we danced the night away under the stars.

There was a mix of people on board - a family with young children, a few young couples, middle-aged friends and everyone got along very well. I imagine it would be frustrating if there was friction between passengers because you are living in such close quarters, but we didn't have any problems.

My suggestions: make sure to bring lots of sunscreen (and aloe might not be a bad idea) because it's expensive at the stores in the villages, bring at least two bathing suits and some music on CDs or MP3 player.
