Great Location, But Lots Of Tweets Needed.
The location is great right next to the beach and caravan was very clean and unexpectedly tv had Netflix.
Fish and chips from shop was very good. Did not try restaurant or on site shop.
Limited info initially. They give a park map but this only shows numbers not name of caravan, so the only way you can find out where you will be situated is to book a site for £20 extra. So looking forward to an evening swim in the pool, but latest swim was 3.15pm!!!! Not stated in initial info.
When we arrived there were 2 laundry sacks outside our door in the rain(1dirty) which were left there for the 4 days we were there and the pillow cases had been put on the pillows damp and actually wet on edges. The ignition and extractor fan on cooker not working which I only found out day before we left. So don't know if that would be dealt with. We had a large expensive caravan which was very comfy, but there are only very bright overhead lights and no dimmed lighting or bedside lights at all. With some more care and attention this could be an outstanding site.

Challaborough Bay Park Dean
Just returned from challaborough bay very disappointed we have been many times over the years the entertainment in the club house is absolutely rubbish only one visiting act on a Saturday night other times parkdean trouper pathetic or loud disco music ,in the passed it was really good entertainment different artist throughout the week, we tried the water front bar which closed at 9.30 don't no why I think it was a shortage of staff only one person serving that applied to both venues.we used to have Sunday lunch in the restaurant that is no moor, tried frier tucks but the restaurant was closed due to staff shortage only take away. Due to the site being so isolated you would think it priority to have decent activities and entertainment on site someone needs to get a grip or people will stay away ,I chatted to many owners all said the same thing the site has gone down hill and all they want is to take your money and sit back and do nothing needles to say we will not be going again.
We Have Just Returned From A Sun Holiday Weekend A
We have just returned from a Sun holiday weekend at Challaborough Bay which we thoroughly enjoyed. It is a small park right on Challaborough Bay which is great for building sandcastles and surfing. It is quite a rural area and is approached by windy roads. The caravan was great, clean and comfortable and the children loved the entertainment. The pool was very good too, as a holida for our young children ( 7, 4 and 3) it was fab, the only low point was the fish and chips from the Fryer Tuck fish and chip shop were horrible. Otherwise great staff made us feel very welcome
Challaborough Bay Is Very Hard To Reach!, Through
Challaborough Bay is very hard to reach!, through very narrow and long country lanes causing the smash of my wing mirror (expensive repair)! Beware that if you book a holiday on this site, you will get NO mobile phone signal at all and so can only get internet access at the club house and you have to travel up the narrow lanes about 5 miles to gain a signal on your phone! Very pleasant staff within the park. No dogs are allowed on the beach in the summer season which we were not aware of when we booked our holiday - so the poor dog spent alot of time on his own! Wont be going back again, but some would enjoy having no phone signal - but with having 2 teenagers with me, it did not go down very well.
