About a month before departure, the departure point was changed from Mykonos to Piraeus. As we had booked a week's holiday on Mykonos in advance, we had to book an additional ferry to Piraeus and also rebook the return flight (we received no support here). Both were associated with costs and hassle.

And after we made the rebooking, we were informed a week later that the trip would not take place.

We have not yet received the refund for the trip (around EUR 6,000).

Don't make the same mistake as we did, avoid this dubious provider at all costs.

It was a dear friend's BD celebration, and so he rented the whole boat for a week to cruise in the Aegean. I believe there has been no other week in my life when my eyes saw that much beauty at a time, for whether I was looking from her board at the islands we sailed by, or at the ship from a tender or from a pier, it was similalry stunning, a two-way admiration.The boat was so elegant, especially under sail, I could not keep emotions at bay. And the officers in snow white uniform, I would have fallen in love but had not been able not choose whom with:-) Stupid me. I had a cabin at the lower deck, it was slightly smaller than those at the upper deck, but very comfortable and all I needed was in place.It was exciting to see ripples right beneath the porthole and hear them flap at the hull, though we spent little time in the cabins, but mostly on the sun deck by the jacuzzi, or swimming and water skiing (those of us at least who did not prefer drinking cocktails all day long), and we tried to dine on the deck every time it was not too windy. Food and wines were fine, and the chef skillfull and amiable, though the friend told me he had the menu made up and provision ordered for this event specifically. And there was another island every day.I loved the postcard Santorini most, though places like Paros are extremely charming too. As we did not take any tours, it was just wandering lazily along those old streets and peeping into shops.And then back to my glass of brut at sunset.I can truly think of nothing as romantic as this voyage. My love and thanks to all Crew!!!

My experience onboard Running on Waves was good.

Can’t say any negative word about the boat. Cabins, crew, meal, service – all were fine. Marine activities – more than nice, for me it was fantastic. The person I dealt with followed me while mast climbing, Captain Grigory is an excellent storyteller about ships and star navigation. Making sailor’s knots was fun. I also was doing some kayaking – there is a wide range of watersports offered.

The only thing that I’d like to be in different way is onshore tours – I mean there was lack of time ashore. However, it’s my own mistake: I booked Crossing program which is much cheaper than standard cruise. All the rest were beyond expectations.

Me and my family sailed on Running on Waves sailing ship through Cyclades Islands in September 2018. We all have absolutely falled in love with the ship and the crew! The ship is very beautiful - both inside and outside. She is refitted every winter season and looks new and very elegant. There are about 30 passengers aboard and each has a lot of space on open decks - you are always close to the sea and nature. Earlier I had an experience when there were 70 passengers and just 1 open deck - always crowded! Running on Waves is smth different and very special. We had so many activities - both sailor's activity (mast climbing, navigation) and also water sport - my son was so happy. The meal is fantastic, service is superb - they have German Hotel manager and Cruise director. The only thing that was a bit frustrating is that it was just twice when they set sails - but it's nature. Highly recommend the ship to all!
