Good Idea - Poorly Executed
Looking for a gym alternative ,this looked good as it was outdoors and seemed like a healthier than a stuffy gym.
Started out well for first few weeks then i started to notice some disturbing things and heard some of the gripes of others.
British Military Fitness instructors tend to be ex-miltary or moonlighting from local gyms ,they seemd to change fairly regularly.
Some instructors seemed to be taking a bit too much pleasure in making the whole experience as uncomfortable for certain people. Most of our ground work seemed to take place right where most people were using the park for dog walking (near the car park). One member actually rolled in dog dirt ,very distressing for them but didn't alter where we were taken. Another member got ringworm on their leg (contracted from dog dirt). Informed BMF of this but was brushed off ,they seemed more intrested in avoiding liability than listening to concerns.
Men were all adressed directly by their first names ,women adressed as 'ladies' collectively at all times
Baer Grylls has now lent his name and reputation to this ,he should keep his eye on the ball.
My advice - there are dozens of better ways to get your excercise in rather than using this macho, mysogynistic bunch - avoid
