Compactalite Pro Integra 375 Hex Caravan Porch Awning

We purchased this awning at the end of last summer so didn't use it till Easter this year. Loved the shape of it which gave so much extra space inside. Unfortunately we've just put it up for the 3rd time and it rained...... the awning turned into a giant colander. Basically there was not one part of the awning inside that was left dry. The water was running down the side of the caravan and the inside of the roof of the awning, it was seeping through all the seams and zips and dripping from everywhere. Everything in the awning got wet - chairs, table, mats, bags, the step, even me whilst i was out there taking photos of all the drips to show the retailer (who, fortunately for us this bank holiday weekend, was only 20 minutes away). As it was, the retailer didn't need photos. They very quickly apologized and offered a full refund. This made me wonder, so i checked the internet for reviews when we got back,only to find we weren't alone with this leaky awning. Lots of other people have had exactly the same experience. This is clearly why the retailer was so quick to offer a full refund, and more tellingly, isn't selling them anymore. We've managed to get it dry and take it down (the retailer wouldn't take it back wet) so we're back to the retailer today to get a refund and buy a different brand of hex shaped awning as we still love the airiness and extra space the shape offers, just sadly don't want one that becomes a no-go zone in the rain.
