I'd been hearing about MCN Compare on the radio and though I'd give them a go to see if i could save a few quid..... what an absolute joke.... cheapest quote was £8544.00 yea really...

Went to gocompare and was quoted £195 though Swinton Insurance (around what i expected for my age, bike etc)

Actually MCE quote was top at £180 but i wouldn't touch that company with a barge pole

I rang mcn today to transfer insurance for my son . I spoke to a lovely gentleman who made the whole process effortless . He explained everything clearly and asked if I had any queries with any of the information he provided . I wish more people were as easy to communicate with . He was friendly and polite and it was a pleasure to deal with mcn . Brilliant service !

Entered all information as accurately as possible. But when I went to the insurer's site I found that some information had been muddled meaning re-entry of data. Some insurers therefore had bad information. Correction of information caused premiums to rise substantially from those given at the start. One went from about 280 to over 1000! In addition I had problems entering my job as it did not fit their "industry" descriptors. (I'm a receptionist at a GP surgery how unusual is that?) I also could not quite choose the right description of a claim that I made 4 years ago. All in all deeply frustrating. In the end, probably because of all the changes I had to make to get fair comparisons, I was sent an e-mail by MCN to say that I had to call them for a personalised quote. Really? What a waste of time.

This is my first time getting insurance as it's my first bike and thanks to Wayne Shann it wasn't a scary experience like expected!

He helped me through the bits I was unsure of.

I've heard people on the phone getting quotes form different companies before and I always felt they were being interrogated and I definitely didn't get that experience with MCN!

Although it was nice to receive such nice customer service I hope I won't have to be calling you again any time soon!

MCN offered the best prices, lovely staff, BSB AND Big Ed. What more could you possibly want!?

Easy enough to use and always gives me a good price on my motorcycle insurance.

This comparison site listed many agencies/companies supplying motorcycle insurance. What I liked was the number of optional extras listed against each, whether these were included in the quote, or were additional cost. Examples were helmet and leathers cover, legal expenses, breakdown, courtesy bike, excess (compulsory and voluntary), protected NCB.

What was not included in the quotes was an agency admin fee, which in my case was £10. This one surprised me but I accepted it as my car insurance always includes the agency fee, but it would have been nicer if I had been informed before I selected my provider.

Overall though, I really liked the comparisons presentation, it was clear and easy to select the most appropriate for my use.

seemed easy and straightforward,only had bike insurance for one year,insurer told 9yrs ncd,resulting in cancellation, no insurance,and £75.00 premium costs for nothing. obviously now have very low opinion of your service and would not use or recommend you to anyone.

I have looked for an insurance on few other websites, but MCN had produced cheapest quotes. The whole process was painless. Double check the details passed on to the insurer, thou. Some of details are very random. After that it's a doodle. Pay, check email for details and your done. Get on yer insured motorbike!!!
