Beware!!!
I purchased buildings/contents insurance from this company via money supermarket. They called me a short while later and the quote suddenly increased by £200 so i cancelled and they charged me £24 cancellation fee (apparently in the small print)!! Beware this company at all costs!! My legal right of a cooling off period ignored because of small print!!!!

Avoid this company like the plague. I would not even be a customer of theres let alone work for them ever again.
There is so many negative things about this company but unfortunately I do not have all the time in the world to list them and life is too short.
If you value your sanity and your peace of mind avoid this place!!!
There are certain two team leaders who work here who are SPITEFUL AF!! I would not trust them to manage a puppy let alone be in charge of a team of people. They are toxic, suck ups to the the big bosses and will destroy anyone who gets in their way!!

Sharp Practice - Avoid
Tried to switch vehicle on car insurance, 9 months into policy, as had bought newer car. Was quoted a ridiculous amount to switch, so asked about cancelling, the £75 cancellation fee was more than the value left on policy, so told them to let it run until the end of current policy period. The Renewal Invitation letter doesn't say anything about automatic renewal. So knowing I didn't have the car and didn't want the policy they of course automatically renewed the policy and took the premium. I phoned to get my money back, they listened to the earlier phone call and they still have the cheek to charge me a risk fee instead of a full refund. Very sharp practice - AVOID.

Rubbish customer service. Cancellation fee of £55 or increase for change of details just £199 (only a third of the total insurance!!)
They cancelled my policy saying my details were incorrect. And the above were the charges. I had already paid them £90, and they took it all except £2.25, which I was promised back within 30 days. The most irritating thing was they just didn't care, no apologies, no movement at all. And trying to get through by phone is impossible 3 calls for 10+ minutes each and no joy at all. Steer well clear, got a better deal elsewhere in no time at all with much better terms.

Do Not Touch With Bargepole
Thought I was being organized in sorting new car insurance policy early via GoCompare recommendation. Paid in full then had call next day saying I owed them another £90.
Called me 3 times over bank holiday Fri and Mon of Easter wkend...clearly nobody was communicating with each other their end. Cancelled policy and was advised may take 10 days to arrange refund. 10 flipping days!! Not impressed at all.

Grove and dean will leave an email for you to contact them to discuss your insurance policy this is a lie it is only to increase the price or charge you at least £55 cancellation charges please read my other reviews on various review sites

Save Yourself Mental Health Issues
Took out car insurance recently and was asked to contact to check some of the information I provided. I called and went over the questions. When finished I asked how I would send documents such as NCB and was told by the agent anything they will need, I should receive an email or could be done through my online account once activated. I was checking emails related to sending supporting documents and online account activation for some time and the only emails I received from them were about how to make a claim in case of an accident and sign my credit agreement. The online always remained “Your policies are being processed.” And no way to upload any documents or no email contacts from them with the request via email as advised. Now I receive an email from them saying my insurance is being cancelled for Non-receipt of documents, Proof of garage! WHAT? This is horrible! and to give the wrong information, gets you stress and trouble! I would say stay away from this company even if you find them cheaper when comparing and save yourself a hassle like mine!! Very dodgy!!

Do NOT fall for the reply for bad comments pretending to be helpful. I still stand by my first review. If anything they made it even worse! wish I can give no stars cause they don't deserve one star! They will still find an excuse to cancel your insurance and take a big cancellation fee and if you want other payment refunds make sure you are prepared for being stressed and depressed for being ignored. this is the first time I regretted not reading reviews before signing up with this company and I would not advise it for an enemy. I wrote my review on Trustpilot and it was reported for being "fake" even though I provided the policy number and was removed until I had to send a letter and email correspondence with them and it took so many days to put the review back. I guess that was their aim to discourage and have the bad reviews off for those who won't bother to take the time to have the reviews put back. I wish there was no star option.

Terrible Company To Deal With
Back in August, I took out a policy with Grove & Dean for car insurance. I thought all was well until I had numerous emails asking me to telephone them about my policy, which I tried to do many times but could never get through. I then had an email saying that policy would be cancelled on August 19th due to no payment. I telephoned yet again finally getting to speak to someone. They took details down to confirm who I was and I was told that my policy was cancelled. I then took out insurance through LV, at a higher price than Grove & Dean. End of the natter….or so I thought. December, I start getting emails from Grove & Dean saying that I owe them money and if I did not pay, then my car insurance would be cancelled?!? After telephoning them, they informed me that my policy was still "live" and had never been cancelled. I've now been told that if I don't pay within seven days, it goes to their debt collecting agency! Thank you for ruining me and my family's Christmas now with the worry of this over my head!
I've been driving since 1986 with a clean licence and have never had had any issues with insurance until i unfortunately got involved with Grive & Dean!
Avoid at all costs!

Just call them you can cancel within 14 day period without loosing the premium paid but administration charges + what use incurred fees!
