Do Not Deal With This Business!
Registered online to insure my 16 year old son's bike. At payment stage they said "technical problem, telephone 0800 xxx"
As it was Sunday evening I decided to use alternative insurer, which I did with no problems.
However, later that evening Complete Bike Cover sent email saying payment received.
Wasn't happy about this, called them next day at 9am. Person I spoke to was clueless, told me "customer service would call me back in 30 minutes or less "
No-one called. I tried again, was told that only my son could deal with this as it was his insurance policy. So, he phoned them to explain their mistake. They aggressively told him that he'd have to pay cancellation fee.
I've contacted bank to hopefully cancel the payment but who knows how that will work out.
Will contact financial ombudsman regarding this company.

Beware Shockingly Poor Insurance Company
I had the misfortune of accepting the cheapest insurance on a comparison web site, which was with Complete Bike Cover. 6 months into the policy I bought a new bike, Complete (who are only brokers) told me my current insurer wouldn't insure my new bike, but they couldn't explain why, (i went from a 2013 Z1000 to a Triumph Tiger 800). I would have to cancel the current policy and get a new quote. They were very busy in quotes so they would ring me back. Twice I was promised this and it never happened, so on the third time I demanded to wait and speak to someone. 1hour 20 minutes later on hold, I was told that I was due £133.00 back, and they would waiver the £50 cancellation fee if I took my new policy with them. Quote from them on the phone £340, whilst I was on hold I had tried the comparison sites, £165 was cheapest (no thank you, lesson learned) and with complete it was £270....When I quizzed them about this their reply was, sorry thats the quote, you are not classed as a new customer which is what the comparison site must be doing....Nonsense...if my current insurer can't insure me, and I use a different insurer then obviously I am a new customer. I basically decided to stand the £50 cancellation fee as it works out cheaper. Sorry I can't do that I will transfer you to cancellations.....1 and half hours later, I realise while still on hold the place shut half an hour ago at 8pm......Livid, and furious is not the word....

Stressfull And Costly In The End
I found this insurance on one of the comparing websites and signed online with as many details as possible (including different address where the bike is kept). No one manage to call me to confirm the details, just charged the money and requested docs. After two weeks I received a letter that the docs don't match as the bike is kept at the incorrect address so I ended up with the policy being cancelled and now paying twice as much for next few years because of them! It wouldn't happen if they help their customers and check the details as we're not the experts! :-(

I had motorcycle insurance with complete cover and they are cheap but im sure the call centre staff must be under paid as well! I cancelled my policy as i had an accident and could no longer ride, i got told to send a letter to confirm i want to cancel my policy when i cancelled my policy around 2 months later i received a letter from the debt collectors stating i owe them £210??? When I phoned complete cover they told me i didn't pay the cancellation fee and other fees they deciced to add on! Without telling me that i owe them the outstaing funds. I got told that i had received the letter and they told me on the phone!!! I had received no letter or was not advised on the phone. Staff was not helpful and have not resolved my issue.
