Best Baby Buy

Ok, its expensive but I really do think its worth the money. With baby no. 1, we tried various "first beds" - moses basket - too small and flimsy, Amby Baby Hammock -she didnt like it, carrycot from pram - she slept well but it wasnt recommended for long-term use, and so by 4 months, we gave up and reluctantly transferred her to a big cot in her own room. This time round, I thought we would give the NCT BedNest a try - wish wed tried it the first time round! I love having my baby so close to me. He sleeps well and its easy to breastfeed during the night as you dont have to get up at all - essential for a winter baby when its chilly!. The NCT Bed Nest is very large compared to alternatives. My son is 5 months, on the 50th centile for length and still has plenty of room - it will easily last him until 6 months. The fact that you can safely have one end higher than the other has been very handy as our son suffers with reflux and having his head higher helps relieve the symptoms slightly. It would also be good for a baby with a cold. When we went away, it was easy to take with us as it packs very flat and you can even leave the sheets etc in place so you really are ready to go when you get to your destination.
