Tutti Bambini Jake Cot Bed

I ordered a 7 piece bedroom set from Tutti Bambini in March. We received the final pieces this week (23rd August). The list of frustrations is huge but includes:

- shocking customer service (I am not stupid and I know when I am being lied to)

- poor quality finish. Feels VERY cheap

- badly put together by company (side of changing table is left hanging off without the right fitting)

- very rude delivery drivers

- damaged goods that they are reluctant to quickly resolve

If you're thinking about ordering this, do yourself a favour and don't bother. It would be far less painful to just go and set fire to your wallet in the garden.

Trading standards should take a look at some of these reviews and get involved. What they are doing should be illegal.

We ordered this product for our future son, on arriving both the end legs were badly damage on the inside, although we were both upset we made do and began to put together, on putting the cot bed together we notice several large splits in the wood, any weight on this would make the cot bed snap in 2 causing major injuries. We contacted Tutti Bambini, who were very helpful to begin and asked for pictures, once sending the pics, the gentleman Mark who we spoke to said, that it would be collected and an exchange sent in a weeks time, we asked why not an exchange the same day, they said they had to check the item over which would take 48, but took us less than 10 minutes, we asked for any form of compensation they said no, but we could have £30 if we kept the dangerous cot. We took a refund instead and are so glad that we didn't keep this cot, we wouldn't recommend or bother with the customer services!

ordered a cot bed ,waited a few months to be told that it is discontinued and was offered an alternative.When we diodi not take it, we were charged £30 admin fee for a refund.Extremely rude people on the phone.I am amazed that they are still in business.Avoid them at all costs.

Very happy with the efficient service provided by all the staff. The assembly team did a great job in fixing my baby’s cot with minimal fuss. Highly recommended.

We purchased this for our son last year, & its been brilliant. Easy to put up and take down, the draws perfect for blankets, sleeping bags, etc. We are now expecting our second child and are looking for another one!

they are the worst company ever, infact i can not call these guys a company they are a discrace to the human race !!! how they sleep at night when they rip people off and rob them blind !!!! how rude !!!!! the manager would not even talk to me as the cott i ordered for £300 was not even safe to put a dog in let alone a new born baby !! and they offered me a £30 goodwill cheque how rude ! never ever use this company your are better off building your own cott ! i will tell the world and watchdog about this dispicable behaviour !

I bought Tutti Bambini Jake cotbed in 2005 for my eldest and it has been in constant use since then, both as a cot for all (now) three of our children and for long periods as a junior bed. I cannot really criticise it as a value for money, unbreakable and attractive piece of furniture. It has been jumped on by several children at once, chewed, stuck all over with stickers and worse and just washes off and keeps going. As good as anything in the same price range on the market, I would say, and I initially put it together at 39 weeks pregnant by myself......

i ordered the Tutti Bambini lucas cot bed off the internet, i thought the cot looked lovely and was very excited! it took 17 days to be delivered not the 7 days i was told and this was only after i had made numerous phone calls to complain it was late and had been given 3 'definate' delivery dates! when it did arrive me and my (carpenter) fiance were shocked to discover the cot was not 'oak' as described but infact pine!!!! over £300 for a pine cot? when i rang them to complain i was told that it was infact oak with a pine finish!! my partner informed him he was a carpenter and that the wood was pine then the man carried on insisting the cot had been painted to look like pine. After eventually speaking to a manager we agreed the cot was pinewood, although that was not stated anywhere on the product information, the manager did nothing to help he didnt even say sorry and was very rude. I will never ever again deal with tutti bambini and i will try to put off anyone else from doing so. They are the worst company i have ever dealt with and in my eyes they are conning people with there so called 'oak' furniture that is very clearly pine. Save yourselves a load of hassle and order with another company!.

Ordered a Louis sleigh cotbed in white (paid £379 for bed and mattress), bed arrived damaged had a hole right through one of the sleigh ends. Rang them to ask for replacement cot - they said that they don't replace the whole item just the parts that are damaged. I asked for both cot ends to be replaced as I was not happy with the chipped and bubbling paint work in the joins. They agreed to replace the parts - after about 6 chase up calls to find out when they were actually going to arrive and them telling me one day then changing it and arguing with me that I had got confused with the dates (I most certainly had not!) they eventually arrived - too my disapointment they too were shocking quality - bubbly paint work in the corners and joins, screw holes drilled twice in the same area where they had obviously made a mistake, wonky tutti bambini label, gaps were the bed doesn't come together properly, and a crack in one of the bed ends. DO NOT buy from this company, very disappointed with the quality and the service.

I ordered a gliding chair from Tutti Bambini. The chair arrived without any notice of arrival and therefore i was not ready to receive the parcel. It was left with my neighbour.

The Chair had to be self assembled. The instructions were adequate and i did have to assume some of the assembly for myself.

The chair did not work glide properly once assembled and made a scraping noise. So i contacted Tutti Bambini about the problem. Tutti Bambini's after service is poor and they don't particularly want to help resolve the problem. Had i known that this would be the case i would have spent more and bought a chair from Dutalier. Customer service as far as Director level was poor.

Don't buy from Tutti Bambini unless you can guarantee no after service is required. Would never buy from them again!
