Really disappointed to find that the service in this shop is certainly not aimed at the 'ordinary biker'. I suspect that if you are serious about your cycling then this may be a great place but for basic advice and help I suggest that you find a different shop. These guys are not interested in helping you. Their advice was limited and they showed no interest in what the customer was saying. I was made to feel foolish and left thinking that my cycling problems were all self inflicted - they are not.

Just what you want from a local bike shop - friendly, knowledagble staff..

I got my bike and all cycling accessories from this store. They have a good range of bikes and prices are good.

Really excellent service from Surbiton Cycles. I went to the shop looking to by a new bike for my daily commute. Despite riding everyday I am not knowledgeable about bikes and having gone in to a handful of other shops I had found it quite frustrating that no one wanted to give me an opinion. Has the art of 'selling' been lost? I didn't want someone to tell/pressure me into buying something, but I did want someone to say 'oh, you ride 12 miles a day on this kind of terrain, I recommend this bike for the following reasons......

That is exactly what I got from Surbiton Cycles. I was able to test ride a handful of suitable bikes and then took my pick. Simples.

The price was good compared to elsewhere and the service was excellent. They have just got themselves a repeat customer.
