We had a terrible experience in Pronovias so decided this was going to be great. As we went around two or three floors in Harvey. Nicks, we discovered Golfia, a personal shopper with sensitive taste and intelligent eyes for our distinctly different daughters and nieces' body types. She was informed, kind and patient. In the end we found a beautiful Calvin Klein dress for one and none for the other, but a head full of ideas and a desire to come back for more service! Thank you Harvey Nichols for appointing intelligent ladies to your most sensitive of services.

Being a regular user of the Harvey Nichols Bristol restaurant (2nd floor) I have never had cause to complain until yesterday, I purchased a bottle of wine in the restaurant, @ £35, after lunch I procided to the Harvey Nichols in house shop, 3 m away from the restaurant entrance only to find the same bottle @ £15, when I wrote to the CEO a Mr J Wan, my mail was intercepted by the general manager of the bristol store a Ms Stone (Harvey Nichols Bristol) who explained the mark up was fair................ Im voting with my feet.

Having written a negative review elsewhere I wanted to be balanced and so I thought about brands/shops that I like and trust. Harvey Nicks jumped to mind immediately.

The service in this store is absolutely first class. Knowledgeable, courteous, friendly. When I bought two pairs of shoes recently, when I got home I found I could have saved £60 buying them online. Harvey Nicks immediately credited me the balance. They offered free tailoring on my trousers, which was unexpected, and they were already in the sale. I always feel absolutely confident that you will get excellent service at Harvey Nicks, both in helping make your purchase and dealing with any post-sale issues.

They might not be the cheapest, but their January sale has excellent bargains (although typically most of my purchases were not in the sale!). The store layout for menswear is a little cramped and you can get lost easily, but this is Knightsbridge - prime real estate - and I guess they need to cram stuff in.

Was on holiday in London and was visiting Madame Tussauds with my children. Saw some shopping bags on some models. Didn't know of Harvey Nichols the shop, but so happy I do now! Went to Harrods before visiting harveys. Such gorgeous clothes, amazing selection. I want everything there! Will be back there next time I'm in London (maybe without the kids!)

I went there with the intention of purchasing a pair of VB R&R jeans. After trying on 4 pairs I called it a day, as they all made my bottom look huge (bearing in mind I am only a size 6-8).

The gentleman who was assisting me was fantastic, and he said that it may have been the particular style that I was trying, and that usually 1 of the styles will fit correctly. He advised that one day when I had a little more time for trying on, to go back and literally try on all the designs to see if I can find one that complements my figure.

He was very patient and just what I would expect from a sales assistant in a store like Harvey Nick's.

Went to the Harvey Nichols in Manchester recently, which was great fun. People in Manchester talk about the presence of Havey Nicks as if mankind has just made some amazing scientific breakthrough. It is like civillsation has finally arrived. It is the same way smaller towns or cities talk about TK Maxx arriving - like they have just got an airport or something. The best thing about Harvery Nichols in Manchester is the building, which is fantastic and also the view from the little corner alcoves they have provided which offer an amazing look at some of Manchester's most varied and interesting skyline.

The cafe is good fun also with the sort of tense atmosphere created from a place like this which has a reputation for being posh. Everyone looks like they are thinking - "should I be here?" Or - "Yes - this is my right to be here!" Or such like.

The waiting staff have got that attitude you get in certain restaurants and shops where nobody really knows what the exact protocol is, or what the right manner or level of social class is acceptable. It's only a department store right? It is all very amusing and entertaining. Of course, many things are vastly overpriced. There was some really amazing art in the bar when I was in there. A great addition to a city which is bordering on the cosmopolitan these days. Nice one Harvey.
