My friend and i recently finished Volunteering in Delhi and it was an incredible experience. I was initially concerned, due to my age.... just turned 60 but they accommodate my friend and I by giving us some privacy on our own. I couldn't have. Been happier. We worked for two weeks with the "Women Empowerment" programmer where we ended up teaching English to children, young and teenage. We LOVED it. The accom was great and our Supervisor was extremely helpful in our translation from hindi to English. The food was great and the time we spent was well worth it. We also took the weekend train trip to Varanasi which could not have been more fun. Loved all of it and they were a totally professional organisation. Would do it all over again.

Volunteering experience in Philippines was so rewarding and opened my eyes to the world around me. This opportunity has given me a new perspective and I felt like I was able to truly make a difference in the lives of those I worked with.

Three of the best moment from my stay are:

1. Meeting and working with all of the wonderful children and many volunteers from around the world.

2. Being able to apply my knowledge and gain experience in the nutrition field

3. Pushing my limits and experiencing something new.

I would recommend Volunteering Solutions to anyone I know is willing to volunteer abroad; mostly because of the variety of programs. ?Absolutely wonderful experience!

While i was looking to intern abroad for my medical studies i came across Volunteering Solutions’ offer of medical internship in India. It took me less than a minute to decide that this is what i wanted to do; i wanted to pursue my medical internship in India. Since, i had heard a lot about India as a country and its diverse culture, it was always on my bucket list, and there couldn’t be a better opportunity to travel to India. It was a great experience altogether. I was provided placement in a small valley named Palampur, which was rich in natural beauty. I was working at a local hospital in the town and got to witness the healthcare system of rural India. I got to learn a lot from the local doctors and other medical staff members. They all were highly supportive and helped me understand even the smallest of operations done on daily basis. A huge credit to Volunteering Solutions for making this trip a memorable one. The in-country coordinator was always there to guide and help, the accommodation was great, the food was amazing. All in all it was not just an educational trip but something that i will remember for a lifetime.

I volunteered for the Teaching English program in Morocco and the time I had there with the kids (especially of age 8-12) I felt I learned more from them than they from me. They are so eager to learn and have a huge interest in studies, I love to see their enthusiasm when I enter the class. However, it was not that easy for me to teach them as I don't know what they have learned by far and what I new I can teach them, so I have developed my own creative games to make learning interesting for them and I am completely amazed by their grasping power, which also makes me feel that if they get better learning opportunities in the future then, they have the capacity to do well in any field. My best wishes are always with them.

I don't get the opportunity to explore Morocco due to my budget constraint, but I have visited markets in Marrakesh and spent half of my budget in buying beautiful caps and scarfs from there. :p I am glad that I got a chance to stay with the host family instead of volunteer house so I got the opportunity to learn about their culture try some amazing food and their ethnic wear too. My host lady was so sweet, she took care of every little need of mine and I found my family in her. I am hoping to visit her and the kids soon in the future as 2 weeks are not enough to explore all of it, still I am glad I did it all alone and made the memories of life. :)

I was on my gap year between high school and college and didn’t have anything planned for the last four months before school started. After two months of napping and watching every episode of ‘Keeping Up With the Kardashians’ at home, I decided that it’s enough and I needed to get out of there! So I booked a volunteering trip to Thailand with Volunteering Solutions. I only booked it about a month in advance but it was simple and easy organizing through VolSol.

I stayed in a volunteer house, that was organized by VolSol. My project began with an orientation that consisted of Thai language lessons, customs, information about transportation, and a visit to a few temples in Bangkok.

I loved the kids! I cannot say enough how much I loved those cuties. They were playful, hard working, sweet, and even though we spoke different languages, I was able to connect with them.

Those six weeks in Thailand were like living in a dream. It felt like I woke up at home, and then it was back to real life.

Meet other amazing volunteers from around the world, building once in a life time friendships with them and learn about Peruvian culture and daily life in Cusco are the highlight of my project. The host family was very attentive. I was lucky to stay

in there home. My outside trips to Machu Picchu and Rainbow Mountain along with other volunteers really solidifies why I feel in love with Peru and the culture.

I chose teaching project. During my project up until the end I felt that my efforts were largely appreciated by the teachers and the students that I helped teach. I put a lot of work in to ensure I was doing my best at work every day and I realized that both the students and teachers recognized me for that reason. I am very proud of my project in Peru.

The overall living experience was excellent. It was very comfortable and homely stay with all the facilities i could have asked for.

Staff was very friendly and supportive. They made the program easier and smooth.

I would recommend VolSol to my friends and family; mainly because of the affordability.

I cannot formulate enough words on how wonderful my Nepal experience was with VolSol. Nepal is a beautiful country full of warm people who make your travel memorable. Laying in the valley of Himalayas is Kathmandu, where I was placed for my Orphanage Volunteering. Working in the orphanage, sharing their smiles, journey and lives is an extra ordinary experience. It was great to see how helpful the people in Nepal are. Although the country still haven't recovered from the disaster that struck them, people in Nepal are leaving no stone unturned to help the ones in need.

I liked the balance the program created between Volunteering and travel. Mostly I explored Kathmandu on foot visiting Pashupatinath temple, Monkey temple, Boudha, Durbar square in the evening. My most favorite was Thamel - the backpackers haven! You can explore the shops, enjoy the local food and drinks, interact with friendly locals and tourist all in one place.

Another very thrilling part of my adventure was Pokhara. The dramatics Himalayan peaks of Anapurna range are a must see. Paragliding there is an exhilarating experience giving you the birds eye view of the beautiful peaks and emerald colored Fewa Lake. I rented a bike to Saragkot on my last day and enjoyed the sunrise from the magnificent peaks! This was one of the best Voluntours I have been on, will definitely go back again!!

I had never imagined that i would be traveling to a country like China, known for its architectural heritage and glorified history to do something totally off the regular check list. I was in the capital, Beijing, for almost a month to volunteer at a local orphanage through Volunteering Solutions. I was a little hesitant before starting my trip, but once it got going i realized how much i’ve been missing in all my earlier trips abroad. Volunteering abroad is the way to travel. I got to meet so many wonderful people, kids, and send a really amazing one month in the town. What acted as an icing on the top was the affordability of the entire trip. It was way too less than what i usually end up spending on my travels abroad. A big credit to Volunteering Solutions who, very professionally, managed everything for me (and other volunteers as well). The living arrangements were very much comfortable and homely. Our local coordinator was also really helpful and was there to guide us whenever or wherever we use to get stuck. And it’s not that i didn’t visited the Great iconic wall of China. So, ultimately, i enjoyed both parts of my travel and well within my time that i had dedicated for traveling. I’m making sure that all my future trips will be volunteer trips, and would recommend the same to all the travelers. And i highly recommend Volunteering Solutions’ services. I think they are the best in this industry.

Africa has always fascinated me with its grandeur and thrills. However, this time i was looking for a different kind of travel experience and it couldn’t have been more accurate. I chose to take up volunteer traveling in Morocco. Not only is Morocco entirely different from a typical African country image (wildlife, wildlife, wildlife) but also the chance to volunteer work gave me the opportunity to interact with the locals and understand their culture better. I have to say that a major credit in making my trip a success goes to Volunteering Solutions, who made sure i had an amazing and comfortable time in Morocco. I volunteered for the women empowerment project in Rabat where i got to meet women from compromised backgrounds and unfortunate circumstances. However, it was great to see them smiling every time i cracked a joke and sharing their life’s story without hesitation. I can’t thank Volunteering Solutions enough to provide me with this wonderful opportunity to help these women stand back on their feet and live a life with dignity. I would recommend everyone to experience this at least once.

The area I liked the most were the ones with other volunteer’s experiences. That encouraged me to join the program.

I found the pre departure booklet was absolutely interesting & helpful because it answered all the answers I had before coming to India. I loved the children and the placement.

I think that location is great and the house itself is comfortable and nice for the volunteers. The meals were very good.

Shankar has been an excellent coordinator since the beginnings he was very welcoming and has been caring of all the volunteers and helping us with everything. The other The other members of the staff I ‘ve met (Rajiv, Dheeraj, Parag, have also been nice!)

The highlight of my experience has definitely been the opportunity to contribute to the street children’s education. I hope you will continue cooperating with other volunteers to provide them with education and basic resources. It’s been an amazing experiences.
