Excellent Value For Money. I Have Been Using One O

Excellent value for money. I have been using one of these for jogging for over two years and it still keeps me dry when raining.

Fantastic Basic Jacket That Looks Smart

The Umbro rain jacket - referred to as Umbro jacket SN22 - exclusive to Sports direct sports stores (including Lillywhites & Gilesports) - is a perfect basic jacket.

I purchased this last week (Thursday 9pm) via the website, and It arrived Monday morning, very quick delivery. Today I have already wore it more than twice due to rain & a chilly wind and this jacket is amazing.

Its made from Nylon, however the white parts are polyester, and its very waterproof. It really does keep you dry. Its also very good at keeping wind out, to say it is so thin.

Pros about it: The jacket is very waterproof. Extremely light weight. Good quality for the price, good stitching throughout. Two inside pockets, so you can safely secure things like mobile phones, iPod inside - I really like these, and enjoyed being able to keep my iPod dry, and the headphones didn't get wet, as they were inside too. The jacket has a basic hood too - which zips in the collar if not required., and two outside pockets. The zip of the jacket is also turned the other way around to a standard jacket - this means there is less surface area for the wind/rain to get inside, compared to standard jacket.

One thing i also like is the jacket seems breathable - I didn't sweat while wearing it - to say its just a shell, my Superdry that I had previously, I would sweat a lot. So I am impressed by this.

Finally the Jacket has a brilliant strong zip, which locks in place. The Zip is brilliant, to zip it up, pull the zip upwards, then zip like normal. When you get to the place you want, push the zip handle downwards, the zip is now locked, which means it wont move up or down, so Ideal if running. The zip also locks at the top too, If zipped up fully on colder days, the mouth/face isn't going to unzip. The previous Superdry, you would do it up, then after several minutes it was half unzipped, so locking zip is really good.

The jackets also has drawstring waist for custom fit.

Cons:

Hood is a little bit rubbish, its very basic, and today it rained, and the hood blew down in the wind, I had to hold it up. Maybe better for use in cold weather, or rain when there is no wind.

The front pockets on the outside don't have zips - which means storing items in them, especially smaller things may not be very good, as it may fall out. This however is made up by the very large inside pockets as described above. Maybe outside pockets are hand warmers!

I certainly recommend this Umbro jacket, its brilliant. In fact a friend of mine has now ordered the Blue version, as he saw me wearing the black one, and said it looks very modern, and stylish.
