Cornsilk Loose Powder

This is a great translucent powder for those with oily skin. It keeps your skin looking excellent for hours, and it suits a wide spectrum of skin tones. I've tried other, considerably more costly brands, but this is the one I keep going back to. A straightforward powder that is, in my opinion, the finest!

have used this very good face powder for years, now can no longer find it(unless I buy the £71 pound one someone is selling and that is just daft!!)

Does anyone know of stock? Or why don't they contine to make

I discovered Corn Silk in my early twenties and have never found a powder to beat it. I am now in my fifties! I have been seduced into purchasing higher end products - Lancome, Chanel, Clarins and so on - but they cannot compete with the finish I get from Corn Silk. The only reason I have tried other products at all is the lack of availability as Boots don't seem to stock it any more and, the odd independent chemist I have bought it from in the past have also stopped stocking it. But now, I am delighted to find I can order it on-line.

It does what it says on the tin. It is light yet effective giving you a shine-free and fresh finish. It balances skin tone but it does not colour your face so you can leave that to your foundation or concealing make-ups or simply use it on bare skin (as I always used to when my complexion was flawless).

I have read other views from ladies of mixed race who love it and, as my daughters are mixed race, I am buying them some as well. I am just so delighted to find that I can still purchase Corn Silk! It will once again be my face powder of choice - no other.

I came across Corn Silk Original Satin 'walnut formula' transluscent face powder when I was about 15 years old. Thanks to some sample 'pots' they produced. I could barely afford the full size at the time, but eventually my income caught up with my lifestyle!

This is by far THE BEST loose powder in the WORLD.

I am now 40 and NEVER use anything else. So hard to find in Boots as they NEVER 'shelf it' with the other make-up brands. It is always treated as a standalone product by Boots. Maybe they'd sell more if the stocked it in the right place!

Goes on beautifully. Does not go patchy or orange and when you use your concealer on spots and pimples, just dab this on top and you wouldn't even know you had any.

I've tried No7 loose powder and these new mineral ones and they are all rubbish compared to this old gem!

I'm told Goldie Hawn as never worn anything else, and who can blame her?

I even used to use their wonderful foundation until they changed it to a watered down version about 12 years ag. Silly Corn Silk. Silly. Otherwise, their powder is something every woman needs in their make scenario and I am mixed race with caramel skin and it has never let me down, tanned or untanned. Get it girls!

I just love the staying power of this product. The colour doesn't change on the skin and doesn't look heavy. So many powders just don't last especially if you have large pores or greasy skin. Highly recommended.

This powder has all the same ingredients as a mineral foundation but has the benefit of being a lot cheaper! The main ingredient Mica, is an oil absorbing mineral which makes this powder brilliant for oily skin like mine. I have excessively oily pores and this powder is the best at keeping the shine at bay, no other powder comes anywhere near. Only down side is the old fashioned granny smell, it really gets to the back of your throat.

Tip. Don't buy the pressed powder version as it is USELESS. Whatever ingredients they add to it in order to press it, turns it into a completely different product. I thought i would be able to use the pressed powder while out and about as it is less messy but it didn't work out as the consistency is grainy and the colour is horrible and is doesn't glide onto your skin like the loose powder does.

I have used this product for years, I was in my late twenties when I first came accross it and I am now 47 (Ssh! don't tell anybody). I have had difficulty getting it. Boots are a bit hit and miss as they seem to change their minds if they sell it or not and god forbid if you ask them as they look at you like you're an imbecile. Obviously not trained very well as to what they stock. I have bought it in Superdrug in the past. But now they sell it on Amazon! Whoopee! Bye Bye Boots.

Once you have used this powder you'll never go back to anything else! It's the best out there, especially good if you have oily skin. The only problem I have is it is becoming more and more difficult to find it. I just hope the larger Boots stores never stop selling it.

Boots sell it! I found Cornsilk Loose Powder in the skin care area, not the makeup section. They sell both the pressed and loose powders for around £7 each. Hope this helps x

Cornsilk Loose Powder is definitely the best face powder you can buy. Young or mature, it takes the shine off your face without the overdone caked look. It's very natural texture gives an even tone and doesn't affect the colour of your foundation.
