Rival PP25 Popcorn Maker

I bought this popcorn maker because of its sleek design. It looks pretty, but not working properly it shoots out all corn. I am tired of using it.

I wanted to make fresh popcorn every day but not as artificial one as in microwave oven, so I decided to buy a popcorn maker instead of microwave oven. When I bought it I was more disappointed than happy. My popcorn maker is very noisy, runs incredibly hot what bothers me even more is that my popcorn is all over the kitchen instead in bowl!

Other negative points are that if you want to use it twice in row you have to wait at least five minutes to get cold and you can't add other ingredients as salt and butter.

We are seriously considering placing this so called popcorn popper in the trash bin. The only bad part is we received it as a gift otherwise it would have made it there long ago.

We have a clean up everytime we use it as it spews popcorn and kernels all over the counter and floor and when it is done popping, we have half a bowl of unpopped kernels. When I attempt to repop the unpopped kernels, the smoke alarm goes off.

I think Rival should be stepping up and admitting this model should not be on the market.

After dropping my old popcorn popper, I picked this one up because of the sleek design. What a mistake--looks pretty, but is useless! I'm tired of dodging the red-hot popcorn kernels that shoot out from the spout, and I'm tired of having to sweep the floor every time that I make popcorn! Even though this appliance is in perfect working order, I'm going out to buy a different brand. Guess this one goes into the garbage, as it's not even fit for a garage sale--I wouldn't feel right giving it away.

I've been kvetching about this POS since we had the misfortune of buying it years ago, and just now thought I'd check out what other people say. My gripe is the unparalled ability to spew popped corn everywhere, but its even more sensational ability to jettison unpopped kernels with unRivaled efficiency. There can be no worse product of its kind.

We owned a Westbend hot air popcorn popper that was a similiar style to the Rival we purchased less than a month ago. We weren't thrilled with the new popper during the first and second use (different days) because it threw lots of kernels out before they were popped. The third time we used it, the popped corn jammed inside the cylinder and started burning from the bottom. The popcorn was so lodged in that we had to dig it out with a knife. Horrible product!!

Let's face it, guys : Rival has screwed us with this piece of junk!

This is the worst appliance (piece of junk) I have seen in years. This machine jams and burns popcorn about 1 minute after you plug it in/turn it on, and then it burns the popcorn and smokes up your kitchen, and then it overheats and won't come on again until after it cools down, which takes about 10 minutes. It lid also falls off very easy and then popcorns blows everywhere. We used it once and then threw it in the trash, as it's not even good to use as a space heater!

This popcorn popper should not be on the market. Not only loud, pops only half the popcorn but also lets the hot kernels and popcorn fly all over. Re-added the un-popped corn and the top plastic cover melted ... a potential hazard.

Absolutely Brilliant. I definetly would recommend the Rival PP25 Popcorn Maker. It pops and oh does it rock. My popping corn is fabulous. I love the smell, the noise, the adrenaline of making the popcorn. Its utterly fabulous. I often keep it in my bedroom, So I can make popcorn in the middle of the night. Pop goes the weasel.
