Rubbish, so noisy . Bought from howdens with new kitchen, very disappointed.

broke down twice. runs extremely hot to the point it could catch fire. Hazardous!

Avoid.

I purchased this wine cooler through Howdens, at considerable expense, only 3 years ago. It's now not working with the engine making a lot of noise (sounds like it's going to blow up).

I can't find any customer support.

I wouldn't recommend you buy one of these, others are also complaining about the unreliability of these machines.

BOUGHT AVI WINE COOLER THRIUGH WICKES WITH NEW KITCHEN. STOPPED COOLING AFTER ABOUT 6 WEEKS. TOOK 4 MONTHS TO ORAGANISE GETTING IT BACK AND GETTING IT REPAIRED. OK FOR 12 MONTHS THEN STOPPED COOLING AGAIN. KITCHEN CUPBOARD GOT SO HOT THAT I TURNED IT OFF. AVI AGREED TO SEND A NEW FAN AT A COST OF £25. 4 WEEKS LATER THE FAN STILL HADN'T BEEN DELIVERED. MORE EXCUSES FROM AVI. AVOID THIS PRODUCT

i bought one of thes wine coolers with my fiited kitchen it lasted 13 month and broke down it will cost to much to fix bad crack

AVI 300mm wine cooler, manufactured in china. Looks good but don't be fooled. After only a couple of months use, the fan became so noisy that we turned the cooler off for most of the time. Last month when we switched it back on as we were entertaining the next day, all seemed well. Then after a couple of hours the door burst open expelling enough smoke from the cooler to activate the smoke alarms. Immediately cut power to the unit which extinguised any flame within the electrical components of the cooler. Contacted AVI who were very keen to replace our unit for a new one but refused to refund us. We are not prepared to take the risk of running it within our home. AVI told us they had the same fault with this model previously and have assured us that it would not have caught fire...So ask yourself 'Where did all the smoke come from???'. We have exchanged the unit but will be installing it in the garden so if it catches fire it will not burn the house down..DON'T TAKE THE RISK!!!!

This AVI 300mm wine cooler was installed by our kitchen supplier. The fan packed in within 3 months and was repaired (no thanks to AVI wanted us to re-package the item to be sent away for repair). After another few months the fan got noisy and eventually the unit gave up cooling altogether. The compressor and the coolant system were defunct. The LED failed after a couple of months, with only half of the number lighting up.

When we contacted AVI about getting parts etc they said we might as well buy a new unit (this one was less than 2 years old!) - and offered us a 'deal' on a slightly bashed new unit or a full-priced new one. We said 'no thanks'!

Its a nice enough looking unit - clean lines for a contemproary style kitchen. But really a pile of rubbish - don't buy!
