Rangemaster Classic 110 Gas ( Purchased 15/02/16 )

Do not buy this cooker . We purchased this cooker 15/02/16 and I have had nothing but grief . Rangemaster have been out 5 times, first was for a damaged top (twice) , thirdly the oven was burning food on the bottom and not cooked on the top also that the long handle on the front and the buttons and knobs were too hot to touch ( my 9 year old daughter was helping making a cake and took the oven gloves from the bar and burnt herself) this is an outside bar not in the oven, thirdly they came and changed the oven door ( did not resolve the problem ) and I have to use a cloth to turn knobs and use the timer and today they sent out a so called expert, he was rude and jumped up , he was not interested in my complaints about the cooker , he got angry because I put the oven on and said he would have to hang around for an hour to wait for it to call down also informed me that they judge the temperature at gas 5 and I said that my cooker is used at higher heats than that , he also said that the outside bar could get as hot as it wants as it was higher than 85cm , this is the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard, in the end I asked him to leave as he was so rude and I could see that whatever he found would be correct for Rangemaster . I will not be dropping this and will be going to trading standards and further if necessary . So people I advise you to keep away from this cooker. I would like to add that we have previously owned a Rangemaster and the quality was far superior to the build quality of this heap ( The classic 110 gas from Rangemaster )

About 10 years ago we re-vamped our kitchen and despite the cost opted for a range cooker. To our regret we went for the rangemaster. For a few years it was fine. Then we had trouble with the grill,a problem which has never been solved. We had problems on and off with the ovens. Now we need spare parts for one oven and find they are obsolete.Three times we have contacted the maker in Leamington to see if they could help(it takes a minimum of 1/2 hour to speak someone).Despite assurances they would ring back NO ANSWER.If you want quality which will last a reasonable length of time DO NOT BUY A RANGEMASTER

Rangemaster Classic 110 Gas

What a disappointment. The grill cooks unevenly so you have to constantly move the food around to ensure even cooking. The plate warmer blows the electrics every time we turn it on. The griddle attachment scratches the hob. You cannot get the pan holder/hob clean. The 'brass' came off the knobs WITHIN the guarantee but Rangemaster says this is cosmetic!! Despite paying over £3,000 apparently its brass 'effect'. Bought replacement knobs - guess what, the 'brass' came off again. For the money the quality is disappointing and so too is the response from Rangemaster. The saying "you get what you pay for" really isnt true in this case.

I also agree with these comments. If I'm making roast pork with a high oven temp, the minute I open the oven door my smoke alarms go off ... and forget cooking burgers on the grill, no matter how clean I keep the grill pan and elements smoke just fills the kitchen. Really disappointed with this cooker.

I can't agree more with the comments this lady has made. I feel exactly the same. I had the "all gas" model which was green with brass handles before I bought this - stupidly thinking I was upgrading. I don't think any tests can have been run during the making of this cooker as you can't have it on a high setting without smoking the place out. Also, the 'chrome' has started to come off my knobs too. A very, very expensive mistake. I daren't mention to my husband that I want to get rid of it as we paid nearly £2000 for it - otherwise it would be gone tomorrow! I think she has been very generous in giving it 3 out of 5 for me it would be much lower.

Awful Cooker

Ok the top part of the cooker works

Having said that the main gas ring no longer lights automatically

The wok burner is good, but seriously underpowered for stir frying

The fan assisited oven gives uneven, and variable heat

My pizza's are always burn one side, but only just done, on the other

You can't cook the same oven meal twice, for the same length of time

As soon as the oven breaks, I am getting rid of this cooker

It's rubbish and I'm very dissapointed

I also noticed a marked rise in cooking costs, so watch out there

I don't consider this an energy efficient cooker

Stick to all gas and you won't go wrong

Best Cooker For Me And My Family

What appeals to me the most is this cookers wonderful design and the capacity to cook several different dishes at the same time. I am a busy housewife with a big family that is almost always hungry and this product has saved me time and energy. It is very spacious with an oven and a separate grill, a wok burner and a warming zone. The griddle is very handy for chopsticks and fried food. I have had it for little over a year now and it is functioning perfectly. Cleaning it takes a little more effort, but I wipe it daily and thoroughly once every month. I have felt a great relief in everyday cooking ever since I bought it and I would warmly recommend it to every housewife with a bigger family who enjoys to cook at home.

Excellent Usability And Energy Efficient

Very well designed and Easy to cook by everyone. As a large family, I preferred this to cook 2 to 3 dishes at a time. Separate grill makes me easy to finish my cooking quickly. There is a 'Hot hob' indicator for safety which helps me a lot.Its easy to clean the top.Ovens reach temperature very quickly and doors are very well insulated.

Lovely Oven Let Down By Poor Finish.the Bottom Sli

Lovely oven let down by poor finish. The bottom slide out draw, you could cut paper with, it is that sharp on the inner edge.

The rollers seem to be made for once only use as the nuts on the front of the cooker that are used to raise and lower the rollers have rounded off after about 3 uses, so now unable to move the oven on the rollers.

Finally we have been waiting for months now for Rangemaster to replace the splashback, which is not painted properly on the reverse, they have sent 2 replacements so far, both of which were more poorly finished than the original.

Overall then an excellent oven but for the high cost of buying it I would have expected a far better quality of finish and better customer service

Love The Oven - Agree That Cleaning It Can Be A Bi

Love the oven - agree that cleaning it can be a bit of a trial but worth it. My only complaint is the service - took delivery and my kitchen fitter noticed a series of dents on the two large doors - so called for replacements - waited about 5-6 weeks, waited in all day for the man, only to find that the replacement doors were a slightly different colour - waited another 4 weeks (asked for 4 new doors this time) waited in all day again - and he turned up with only the other 2 doors!. Waited another 3 weeks, waited in all day etc, replaced 4 doors - only to notice that one door was scratched and dented on the rim - paint peeling etc - so waiting now again... had the oven almost 5 months now and still not sorted.

I Replaced A Rayburn With This Range As More Pract

I replaced a rayburn with this range as more practical for busy family life. It is excellant. Plenty of rings, we have friends to eat often as children wide age range and caters for lunch for 15 easily. also hot food and desserts for 32. It is a bit labour intensive re cleaning the top but I wipe over every day and do a proper clean (remove parts and clean thoroughly)weekly/fornightly dependant upon use. The griddle does a super job on steak, chops, fried breakfast (!!). I would highly recommmend this cooker for busy mum who likes home cooking. Check local dealer price as I got it for less than the internet which was supposed to be the best price!
