More Than I Expected

We bought the Kenwood after researching others, it was more than I intended to spend, but as we are using it every day, time will tell whether it continues to hold up to bread making every two days. The instructions couldn't be easier, everything is laid out simply and if you follow the steps, what can go wrong? I have used all programmes, other than the jam making one. The loaves turn out perfect every time, even the packet ones.

I have tweaked a few recipes and as long as the basic proportions of ingredients are used all has turned out really well. I like the delay function as nothing beats waking up to fresh baked and warm bread. The seeded loaf is lovely.

All in all I am very pleased we chose this model.

I Have Read The Other Reviews And My Experience Is

I have read the other reviews and my experience is a lot better. All the loaves have turned out great, even granary. The machine is good looking and not out of place on the counter top. The stainless steel is very fingerprint prone though.

The recipe book is terrible (hence 4 stars)and only those who have had a bread maker in the past will find it easy to follow. It needs lots of hints and tips beside the recipes for ease of use.

I read a lot of breadmaker reviews before buying this machine and I have not been disappointed in my choice.

During The Two Months I Owned This Machine It Fail

During the two months I owned this machine it failed to make one decent loaf. The bread failed to rise or rose only to collapse. The bread was heavy dense and under cooked. I tried all the suggestions in the trouble shooting guide without success. After two months of frustration I return the bread maker to John Lewis where they gave me a full refund against a Panasonic 257. The first loaf from the Panasonic was perfect!

Have To Strongly Disagree With The People Who Say

have to strongly disagree with the people who say this makes poor bread. If you follow the instructions step by step its infallible...so they obviously arent and thats a fact.

the bread is superior to shop bought and I have made loaves every day with 100% success.

I paid £49 in the sales for mine and its worth every penny.

yes the paddle does get baked into the bread , but this is not an issue...why quibble over a little hole in the bottom.

the pan on mine does not deform

overall I would recommend 100%

This machine keeps tripping my power supply on the heat mode. Does anyone else have this problem? I have tried 2 machines and the result is the same.

Very Easy To Use, But Would Have Appreciated More

Very easy to use, but would have appreciated more detailed instructions ie when to add seeds etc, perhaps a basic receipt book could be included, machine beeps several times but not sure why.

I hate the fact that the paddle remains in the bread and leaves a large hole but can't see a way to prevent this.

I don't use this at night as it is quite noisy.

I Purchased This Breadmaker A A Month Ago And Have

I purchased this breadmaker a a month ago and have used it at least 10 times and have made 5 various types of bread, all of which turned out great. I also am not certain as to when I should add extra ingredients, as the breadmaker beeps more than once as an indication. But it didn't make much of a difference because the result was still excellent. I have yet to use the 58 minute cycle.

All My Loaves So Far Have Been Successful Even On

All my loaves so far have been successful even on the fast bake cycle although they tend to be a little denser. Unlike some of the other reviewers I have not had any problems with the recipes provided with the machine, and the regular white bread tasted great. Just use lukewarm water and quality ingredients. The instructions could have been clearer. The only downside is the mixing paddle does get baked into the loaf leaving a great big hole when removed. I cant think of a way to prevent this yet but am working on it. I would recommend the BM350 breadmaker but make sure you have cupboard/worktop space for it as it is a beast.

Generally Pleased With This Machine Kenwood 350. B

Generally pleased with this machine Kenwood 350. but I offer the folloing comments;

Machine quality

I prefer the all steel construction to the more expensive plastic bodied machines. The case is sprayed painted white and it matches my kitchen.

The metal bread pan is not well made and the sides deform and it is sometimes difficult to locate. I do hahve to bend the thing back into shape

sometimes. I have had the machine for about two years and can see it lasting for several more years. I find the sittings very easy to use and always put it on the dark brown one.

I did have problems getting wholemeal bread to rise. I contacted support and they suggested using basic supermarket wholemeal flour----- problem solved. Do make sur the water is not too cold in winter. This machine makes excellent wholemeal bread. The white bread does not match the bakers fresh bread as it is baked in a hot oven although it is crusty from the machine and best eated within 24 hours. I can't understand why there are to booklets with the machine.

I find the breadmaker easy and quick to set up. about 5 minutes including getting the stuff out the cupboards and putting it away.

I don't recon the fast bake cycle at all.

Hope this helps.
