Dogtraininguk.com Dog Training Uk Wouldn't Recommend

Wasn't impressed with in house training. My dog, 10 month German Shepherd at the time, was here for three weeks at the end of May 2017. When I dropped her off, i knew trainer was on her day off so one of the other ladies didn't have time to show us around the place... they seemed nice, good reviews, so that was fine. However, when I picked her up, I wasn't so impressed. My dog had her ears down and was cowering, I soon found out why. when she strayed slightly from the little display trainer pulled her 'choke' collar up really hard into the top of her neck. I was shocked! I assumed she would be trained with her day to day collar, they put a choke collar on her without even asking me!! I did not agree to this, as she was ok walking on her leash with occasional pulling, so this wasn't a problem. I am very against choke collars, so from that moment on, I knew it wasn't going to work at home. I tried the choke collar, but I felt guilty for doing this, as I didn't want to hurt her or use any force. I was also told that she shouldn't go with her dog walker for three weeks, which again was a problem as I was using her at the time three days a week when I was not home. Her little display at the end was under a marquee type thing, very small, and i felt unrealistic for a day to day environment. I was told if there was anything specific i wanted looked at, they would see what they could do, unfortunately even though i mentioned my dog barking at the fence, nothing was done to help with this. My dog had already been to training since she was a pup, she was ok at recall and ok at stay, great with other dogs, and could sit. So sit, stay, come and heal seem to be the only things focused on. I feel like it was a total waste of money, i would have been just aswell putting her into normal kennels, but i thought i'd try to make a better of dog of an already good dog, wrong decision on my part. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.
