Baxi Platinum 40 HE

I purchased a top of the range BAXI combi boiler which was installed by a local Gas Safe installer.

The boiler arrived with a fault and was unable to be commissioned.

BAXI gave a date of over a week later when they could come out to repair a BRAND NEW FACTORY ISSUED BOILER, this eventually got revised down to a couple of days. They arrived, couldn't fix it, said it needed several more new parts and then lied about when they would fix it as they gave a date and then didn't have the parts (IT'S A BRAND NEW BOILER - BRING ANOTHER ONE AND REPLACE IT!!!!)

Alarm bells are ringing on a BRAND NEW product that has already had 1 part replaced and now needs several more - I do not want to be stuck with an item that is going to be breaking down all the time.

Upshot is I have spent hours chasing BAXI and I'm still left with a boiler that doesn't work a week after installation began, no definite date when a they will be able to supply a working product and a 10 year guarantee that isn't worth the digital paper it isn't printed on.

There is not a problem with the contractor who fitted it, but BAXI are giving a third rate service and selling a product that is not fit for the purpose intended for.
